We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and inspirational Head of Cloud Architecture and Assurance. You will lead an established, high performing team of Cloud Platform and Cloud Solution Architects committed to providing expert advice to our business lines in adoption of cloud whilst ensuring compliance with Deloitte and industry standards.

The successful candidate will be accountable for developing the cloud technology roadmap in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and will work closely with business representatives and directly influence the direction and high-level design of strategic solutions, as well as leading and driving forward the operating model for Cloud Security.

You will provide leadership and guidance to your NSE-wide team as well as building a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include:

Strategic Roadmap Development:

-      Architecture Roadmap: Define and drive the future architecture roadmap for Deloitte NSE Cloud Services platform offerings on AWS, Azure, and GCP.

-      Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure architectural initiatives align with business goals and objectives.

-      Cyber Security: In close collaboration with Cyber security architects and CISO functions, advocate strong security awareness and best practices in all NSE Cloud services.

-      Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure our cloud architecture remains cutting-edge and competitive.

Assurance and Compliance:

-      Compliance Oversight: Oversee and ensure compliance with all relevant assurance and governance processes, including regulatory requirements and internal policies.

-      Standards and Guidelines: Develop and enforce architectural standards, policies, and guidelines to ensure robust, secure, and scalable cloud solutions.

-      Regular Reviews: Support regular reviews and audits to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

-      Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both within Deloitte (e.g., enabling functions, business units across various geographies in Europe), Deloitte globally and externally (e.g. cloud service providers, regulatory bodies).

-      Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with senior leaders, business partners, and technical teams to drive alignment and support for architectural initiatives.

-      Thought Leadership: Represent NSE Cloud Services at enterprise architecture meetings as a thought leader in cloud architecture, sharing insights and best practices.

Leadership and Team Management:

-      Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage a team of cloud architects and security professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

-      Coaching and Development: Mentor team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development and technical skills.

-      Performance Management: Establish clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the architecture team, and conduct regular performance reviews.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

-      Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

-      Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in cloud platform architecture, with excellent knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP.

-      Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams, advancing the career’s of others.

-      Cyber Security: Excellent knowledge and experience with security best practices specific to cloud environments.

-      Compliance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of cloud assurance and compliance processes, standards, and frameworks (e.g. ITIL, ISO27001/27017, SOC2, CIS, CE+).

-      Strategic Vision: Experience in defining and implementing architectural roadmaps and strategies.

-      Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

-      Communication SkillsHighly developed stakeholder management, communications and influencing skills with the ability to engage, collaborate, manage and affect technical and non-technical stakeholders up to and including C-Level; able to confidently present in a dynamic environment.

-      Certifications: Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, and GCP are highly desirable.
