Technical Specialist –DevOps Engineer - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

The ITS Operations function is accountable for the delivery of all internal technology infrastructure – including Cloud (Azure and AWS), Email, Skype, File Services as well as platforms underpinning SAP, Enterprise (IT) Security Services. It also provides technology that supports the service lines in delivering client facing or client engagements as part of its client IT services.

Work you’ll do

As a Senior DevOps Engineer for Deloitte, you will be Working within a diverse team across multiple geographies and collaborating, you will be involved in a variety of experience and best practices of managing the development, testing, and support processes in a software development project life cycle. These practices help organizations manage the development, tools deployment, integrated testing, and assistance with increased productivity and speed.

Responsibilities

We are looking for Senior DevOps Engineer to join our talented Engineering team to support product teams building cutting edge products that are used by tens of thousands of practitioners across the firm 

  • Responsible for deploying DevOps patterns, practices, and process across a number of different products and teams.
  • Consistent deployment of cloud infrastructure via infrastructure as code (IaC) Bicep practices.
  • Provide a variety of technology services consumed by the delivery teams, for example, CI / CD, cloud resource provisioning, code quality, test automation etc.
  • Maintain and administer Azure DevOps and other tools.
  • Showcase and demonstrate DevOps capabilities to stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Contributes and adheres to development and security standards and controls across the UK firm.
  • Recommend improvements and refactoring to systems enhancing stability, security and maintainability.
  • Work within a product centric environment to deliver capability, measured against desired outcomes.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle including solution design, business analysis, testing, documentation and deployment.
  • “Build it and own it” – this team will operate a true dev-ops lifecycle with responsibility for new features through development and into production, with risks managed within the CI pipeline.

Requirements 

  • Experience of working with development teams and COTS products to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Extensive experience of Azure DevOps and cloud/PaaS technologies, specializing in Microsoft Azure but with awareness of other platforms and approaches.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
  • Has shown adaptability in their career by working in enterprise environments with multiple products and types of delivery approaches, holding various roles, perhaps with a developer background.
  • Adept and demonstrable background in building matrix-based relationships.
  • Will have championed the benefits of the DevOps approach and actively worked to remove silos and impediments - experience of a DevOps transition highly advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of web scale design patterns and techniques.
  • Azure experience a distinct advantage.

Experience in the following is desirable: 

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Certifications in relevant to Azure AZ 400 and AZ 104.
  • Knowledge on AI Service Implementation

Location: Hyderabad/Banglore

Work shift Timings: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM (IST)

Qualifications

·       Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology

·       6 - 8 years’ experience in a similar role and Enterprise organisation.
