ServiceNow Scrum Master (HRSD), Hyderabad

This is an opportunity to join our exciting and growing NSE ServiceNow Product Team as our ServiceNow Scrum Master. 

 

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, coaching the team on Agile principles and practices, and removing any obstacles that may be hindering the team's progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work you’ll do

As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Grow squads, following an agile methodology. You will track capacity, availability, productivity and the state of the backlog. You will work with the Performance Analyst to design and deliver reports and dashboards on the ServiceNow platform to track and manage squad performance. 

Key responsibilities:  

·       Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. 

·       Coach the team on Agile principles and practices and ensure that the team is following the Scrum framework. 

·       Identify and remove any obstacles that may be hindering the team's progress. 

·       Ensure that the team is maintaining a high level of quality and following best practices for software development. 

·       Work closely with the Product Owners and the Agile delivery lead to ensure that the product backlog is prioritized and up-to-date. 

·       Encourage collaboration and communication within the team and across other teams. 

·       Keep the team focused on the goals of the iteration by shielding team from outside distractions and interference. 

·       Encourage the team to self-organize and be accountable for their decisions. 

·       Monitor team metrics and capacity per sprint. 

·       Send out a report of progress to all stakeholders per sprint 

·       Identify issues and risks with team performance, morale, team cohesion and escalate to the agile delivery lead to be addressed  

·       Continuously improve the Scrum process and identify areas for improvement. 

The role requires line management responsibility so you may be managing a team of 4-6 AMs / 6-8 Senior Analysts.

Work shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

Qualifications

·       Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology

·       Overall 9+yrs of experience, of which 4+ Years of relevant Experience as a Scrum Master.

Preferred Skills:

·       Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

·       Knowledge and experience with Agile software development methods such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or Lean.

·       Knowledge of Agile values and principles.

·       Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.

·       Experience in coaching Product owners in Product backlog health, prioritization, etc.

·       Very strong understanding of the system development life cycle.

·       Proficiency with Azure Dev Ops or Jira.

Nice to have Skills:

·       Knowledge on ServiceNow HRSD Module.

·       Experience Working with ServiceNow Development teams.
