Analyst – DevOps - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

Operations Mandate – from an overall ITS perspective, leveraging USI resources is strategically aligning with the Firm’s Alternative Delivery Services model.  Along with other professional lines of businesses such as Tax, Advisory, Consulting and Enabling Areas like Marketplace and Business Operations, ITS is building its services and capabilities in USI to conduct operational tasks and responsibilities that allow Canadian onshore teams to focus more on ITS and business priorities.  In addition, ITS continues to grow and strengthen its Support Services presence in Hyderabad to provide quality client-facing support for our USI Canada Professionals.

Technology and Infrastructure team manages datacenters, servers, applications, databases, operating systems, security and patching systems, network, etc including maintenance, routine operations, Infrastructure-related Event and Incident Management.

Role Specific Responsibilities

This individual will follow the team’s standards to create and manage an automated DevSecOps release management pipeline which delivers tooling for next generation application development efforts (the Dev) and on-going production operations (the Ops). Cultivate a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery mind set

  • Be a point of contact for DevSecOps. Understand project requirements and deliver accordingly.
  • Contribute with DevSecOps capabilities in projects ensuring Secured SDLC alignment using version control system, continuous integration and deployment automation through pipelines, continuous monitoring, configuration management etc.
  • Create data dashboards, graphs, and visualizations to provide DevSecOps KPI.
  • Develop and expand API framework to interconnect various Tools
  • Knowledge sharing on deployments, tools, process, and technology.
  • Train other team members on DevSecOps process improvements
  • Partner with development and operations teams to facilitate practical automation solutions and custom modules. 
  • Troubleshoot automation issues and when required engage the resources to find practical solutions.
  • Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevSecOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights, and advice.
  • Deliver tasks based on project objectives; technically support projects through to completion.  Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high-quality, documented and support transition of operational activities
  • Executes day-to-day operational tasks with zero supervision
  • Self-starter who can work through any complex applications and can create Knowledge and Process documents surrounding applications, support and operations.
  • Ensures applications are available and reliable via proactive capacity and problem management
  • Supports and contributes towards application architecture based on standards and requirements
  • Comply with and ensure compliance to established change control processes
  • Drives innovation via automation and repeatability
  • Work closely with software development team to implement new applications and releases
  • Timely communications with Team regarding changes, system interruptions, and new tools and documentation resources
  • Ensuring continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms. Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached
  • Providing technical training and knowledge transfer to internal or external teams
  • Contributing to process development and best practice. Looking at new ways to improve resilience, performance levels and supportability
  • Coordinate system development tasks to include design, integration, and formation testing
  • Plan and execute transitions into production including coordinating activities with other teams
  • Analyze, research, and develop system specifications, technical logistics requirements
  • Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning, execution, and supportability
  • Manage and document systems configurations following ISO 27001 standards
  • Research and present technical solutions as required to diverse audience
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Knowledge sharing/documentation
  • Lead technology and best practices research
  • Act as a lead in creating Client's application documentation
  • Conduct technical training to the team in specialized areas

EDC Canada is the Canada CIO’s IT department which manages an end-to-end portfolio of Canada business applications and technology infrastructure that supports business processes common to Deloitte Canada member firm.

Our IT & Systems team works behind the scenes and is essential to the Deloitte organization. Our forward-thinking team members have the analytical skills needed to parse mountains of data and stellar communications skills needed to present research, discovery, and recommendations in a logical and easily understandable way. Our technologists provide IT infrastructure support to develop custom enterprise applications.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • A Computer Science University degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • A strong commitment to professional client service excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent Analytical Skill

  • Strong experience working with tools - Azure DevOps Services, Git, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraforms, GitHub, Jenkins etc.
  • Experience should entail working in an end-to-end DevSecOps capabilities for software delivery projects in cloud environments (Primary Azure, Secondary ASW).
  • Familiar with cloud-based services (Azure & AWS), networking concepts.
  • Working experience with configuration management, Docker container image certification.
  • Familiarity with Prisma Cloud, SonarQube, Fortify
  • Understand vulnerability management impact and address remediations
  • Clear understanding of software development domain and principles, design patterns, code structure, programming languages (Front end and backend)
  • Deep understanding of DevSecOps, agile processes, enablement, and implementation
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps Tools (Pipelines, Release pipelines, Boards, Artifacts)
  • Experience of using GIT, GitHub, Chef
  • Experience with Container platforms, (Docker, Kubernetes) SAAS monitoring platform (Dynatrace)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Experience scripting in any one of the scripting languages PowerShell, Bash & Python
  • Experience in administering DevOps platforms AzureDevOps Jenkins
  • Experience in Linux & Windows operating systems administration

Preferred:

  • MS certifications especially AZ-104 OR AZ-303 OR AZ-400 is valuable but not Mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL and/or Agile methodologies
