WORK YOU’LL DO

Cloud Engineering team is responsible to maintain, upgrade, patch & support Datacenter, and cloud hosting environments. This team member provides a holistic skill that addresses infrastructure services such as VMWare, Cloud & On-Prem platforms, GCVE, Containerizations, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, CaaS services, servers, storage, databases, load balancing, firewalls, and DNS. Also, team is designing the infrastructure needed for Public/private & modernization Cloud hosting applications based on user requirements across different Channels.

The successful candidate will work as a technical specialist and should be able to understand the security and performance ramifications, configuration management experience using puppet & PowerShell, container-based deployments using Docker, working with Docker images, Docker hub and Docker registries, scripting languages knowledge like Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash and Shell configuration, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrates a strong working understanding of troubleshooting techniques for VMWare, VCenter, Cloud knowledge on Administration, operations, maintenance & support from configuration to implementation.
Also, technical specialist should have hands on knowledge on cost optimizations, containerization, modernization of applications along with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, CaaS services, best cloud practices with implementations.

PRIMARY COMPETENCIES: 

·       In-depth expertise in VMware, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Anthos, and migration processes as well as App Modernization, Containerizations, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, CaaS services

·       Knowledgeable in Terraform coding, GCP Anthos, CI\CD, GitHub Actions and Kubernetes clusters.

·       Proficient in infrastructure tasks including implementation, deployment, and upgrades.

·       Advanced troubleshooting skills for connectivity issues, migration challenges, and performance optimization.

·       Provide support during TAC calls and manage both weekday and weekend activities.

·       Handle advanced tasks such as backup, network issues, Esxi patching/upgrades, physical host firmware upgrades, GCP cloud volume management, and server health checks.

·       Configure infrastructure between on-premises environments and GCP private cloud (GCVE) using VMware HCX.

·       Apply cloud engineering principles to infrastructure modeling and design.

·       Strong understanding of physical server hardware, networking (subnets, NAT, routing), and security compliances.

·       Customer-focused abilities to build strong relationships with application teams & cross-functional IT departments.

·       Skilled in balancing task assignments with skill development for effective team performance.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DUTIES INCLUDE:

·       Advanced knowledge of public cloud platforms GCP, AWS, Azure, and migration processes.

·       Advanced expertise in Kubernetes and scripting.

·       Advanced proficiency in VSAN and VRA/VRO. Should have good Operational experience on any Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) in Azure, AWS, or Google cloud platforms.

·       Experience with Infrastructure as Code using one or more of the following: Azure Resource Manager, Cloud Formation, Terraform.

·       Working experience on IIS admin (8.0, 10.0 preferred).

·       Need to work with development teams on application/platform integration issues such as security/permissions, Service configuration, and network issues (name resolution, firewall port flows, and load balancing).

·       Should have good validation and root cause finding ability.

·       Identify virtual & physical infrastructure issues which impact the functionality of the application and hosting platform.

·       Good knowledge of Active Directory, SQL server, firewalls, and load balancing.

·       Perform operational engineering activities like application upgrades, patching, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting issues.

·       Leverage established system performance standards to support capacity management objectives.

·       Implementation and periodic testing of business continuity plans for supported hosting environments.

·       Communicate and troubleshoot issues across multiple stakeholders in the ITS organization.

·       Interaction with people at a variety of technical and management levels.

·       Partner with development and operations teams to develop practical automation solutions and custom modules.

·       Create & troubleshoot automation issues & find practical solutions that move projects forward in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience as On-Prem & Cloud Engineering Specialist or Cloud DevOps
  • Expertise in Cloud Networking, Architecture, Cloud DevOps concepts as well as Cloud Automation & development
  • Experience in infrastructure build activities for Project SDLC (Development, QA, UAT through to production & BCP)
  • Install, configure, automate, and monitor various Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS), IIS, and other web hosting technologies across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Linux/Unix/Windows system administration with experience in an environment with 500+ servers
  • Continuous Integration/Delivery & SCRUM Agile methodology
  • IT operations best practices (always on, always available)
  • Effective technical communications

PREFERRED:

·   Azure, AWS, or GCP Cloud Certifications

LOCATION:
