Work you’ll do

USI T&I Cloud Operations team – CMS Ops teams supports cloud services across the CMS org and other FSS and to support Cloud ops Globally by coordinating with Cross art team.

CMS Ops team provides support on OnPrem & Cloud Infrastructure, Enterprise & SQL Monitoring, Compute Cloud issues, vRO issues. Create a knowledge repository for the new joiners in the team. Work on automating the decommissioning of cloud machines would help us in Centralized process automation management, increased productivity, more efficient use of resources. Look for potential enhancements to existing systems as well as possible automation across environments to get rid of manual efforts.

Catalogue items/tickets to be transferred to CMS Ops queue - Enterprise monitoring, vRO, Compute, SQL Monitoring, and coordination with various teams inside CMS and with Service management team, support the tickets transferred to CMS Ops queue and understand the escalation path if needed. CMS Ops will be concierge service for level 2 incident inside of CMS.

  Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Cloud Engineering Knowledge: Including Cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP) and other solutions with infra setup in IaaS, PaaS & SaaS along with maintenance, support, enhancement, operations, coding & developer skillsets.
  • OnPrem & Cloud VCenter, VMWare, Windows & Linux OS Administrative knowledge & skill set
  • On-Prem to Cloud migrations, landing zones creation, subscription, resource groups, policies, firewall setup, application load balance setup & advanced knowledge on operations as well as cloud networking methodologies
  • OnPrem & Cloud Configuration management, Agent remediations, decommissioning of on-prem & cloud servers & entire infrastructure.
  • Installing and uninstalling the monitoring Agents on Prod and non-prod servers (Manual/SCCM).
  • Decommissioning Azure, AWS and on-prem Servers and decommission of AWS Account

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2+ years direct, hands-on experience with OnPrem & Cloud Engineering Knowledge
  • Windows/VMware Administration
  • Linux administration – Good to have
  • Cloud Technologies – Azure, AWS, GCP

·       3-5 years of experience in the IT field with work under critical scenarios and take ownership without any supervision/KTs if needed.

·       Should be able to handle user requests, queries, and co-ordinate with clients/stakeholders.

·       Should have excellent communication skills to join conference calls, deal stakeholders/clients and be able to work along well in a team without any hassles and open to learning new technologies.

·       Should be flexible to work in afternoon shifts and on weekend activities/Oncall purposes.

·       Should have worked in production support in MNC.
