Deloitte Global Assurance Strategy – Senior Analyst (USI)

We are looking for highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and an eye for detail to be part of the Deloitte Global Assurance Strategy team in India. The role provides an opportunity to develop corporate/global business unit strategies and help monitor execution, support business development, and analyze sectors, markets, and competitors across geographies.

About the team

The Global Assurance Strategy team is part of the Global Audit & Assurance group within Deloitte Global. The team helps shape the strategic direction of Deloitte by exploring the impact of the next big client markets and guiding the development and use of market-ready solutions. It provides strategic services to analyze the competitive landscape, market trends, and growth opportunities to support the development of the internal strategy for Deloitte’s Assurance business.

The team plays a crucial role in supporting the Global Audit & Assurance leadership in charting the strategic direction, considering the emerging growth opportunities, competition, internal capabilities, and broad market trends.

Work you'll do

You'll act a team player with a primary focus on research and analysis that facilitates business decision-making. The USI team supports all key business pillars such as, market growth, go-to-market approach, long-term strategy, cross-business leadership support, and business operations. The team also works with multiple levels of leadership to strategize and manage projects across Deloitte's Member Firms globally.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting global executive meetings and leadership by preparing business strategy decks, managing event logistics, and documenting key action items
  • Gathering information using internal and external research resources such as industry journals, analyst reports, stakeholder interviews and information databases
  • Supporting and reviewing quantitative and qualitative analysis including market segmentation and sizing, market trend and competitive landscape analyses, client portfolio analyses, business and financial modelling, operations analyses, etc.
  • Conducting market research and sensing activities on global and regional topics
  • Working with large datasets and analyze information to draw meaningful insights
  • Assist in analyzing and summarizing research results, and preparing deliverables for senior executives
  • Bringing a strategic mindset and critical thinking skills with ability to execute on details, while remaining flexible in an evolving and ambiguous environment
  • Good to have knowledge on secondary databases such as Factiva, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, OneSource, etc.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with excellent executive stakeholder management, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work closely in a globally distributed team and drive consensus among various business groups

Specific Skills and Qualifications

  • MBA or master's degree from a reputed school
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a strategy consulting, and research & analysis type of roles
  • Good understanding of business issues (knowledge of professional services industry will be an added advantage)
  • Experience in secondary research and utilizing tools and databases such as Factiva, Hoovers, CapitalIQ, Dealogic and others researching solutions, frameworks
  • Strong technical skills, especially in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to present complex ideas succinctly for senior executives
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and a good team player

The preferred location for this role is Gurugram (India), 3-4 years of work experience in market research/ stakeholder management, dashboarding is a plus. Standard working hours are 11AM - 8PM
