Assistant Manager - Data Analytics, Global Tax & Legal Operations

Work you’ll do
Global Tools Delivery Center: Data Analytics – Assistant Manager is responsible for developing and reviewing data visualization dashboards, Alteryx workflows and advanced reports. Should be an expert in leading visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik and Alteryx. Assistant Manager will act as a bridge between Analysts/Sr Analyst and management, at the same time person should be able to understand business expectations and help in driving the strategy.
Key responsibilities:
- Adopts consultative approach with internal/external clients to architect, design and develop solutions
- Responsible for management and delivery of portfolio of client facing solutions that have an impact on revenue
- Conduct Requirements gathering, Design, Development and Testing activities
- Leads data analytics dashboarding solution development as per specification
- Prepares data flow diagram, data model, data preparation and cleanup activities (if any)
- Perform Stakeholder management (Stakeholders include Sr. Managers; PPMDs; Service line; Project leaders)
- Manage portfolio of projects and be accountable for project delivery
- Apply six sigma, lean and project management tools and concepts
- Apply development frameworks, guidelines and standards to tools
- Actively contributes ideas to develop solutions, consult others as appropriate
- Drive process improvement activities and build consistency across all projects
- Assist in business process development and continuous improvement
- Manages operational activities of GTDC team
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Convey the message clearly, concisely and accurately to stakeholders/team members
- Summarize the essence of the discussion, should have negotiation skills
- Using Deloitte standards and templates
- Executing internal testing and user acceptance process
- Developing and maintaining internal project documentation
- Applies development framework, guidelines and standards to tools
- Provide process improvement ideas and enable consistency across projects

Education and Qualification required:
· MCA, B.E. BTech, BSC Comp
· Technical Skill Set:
o Overall, 5 to 7 years of experience in Data Analytics field
o Project Management
o Stakeholder Management (Interacts with Deloitte Internal)
o Quality and Standards (Intermediate)
o Portfolio Management (Share updates and assist in tracking projects)
o Strong analytical skills
o DA Visualization tools - Tableau, Power BI and Qlik View (Advanced)
o Data wrangling/automation – Alteryx, R, Python
o Database (SQL), DBA knowledge (Intermediate)
o Understand Row level security concepts
o Knowledge on online data connectivity and setting refresh schedules
o Basic knowledge on Power Apps
o Expert in MS Office applications
o Extensive experience in dashboard designing framework and principles
o General understanding of data modelling, Integration and normalization
o Agile and Waterfall methodology
o SDLC
o Unit and Functional testing
o Excellent communication skills (Verbal and written)
· Business Skill Set:
- Supervise and manage professionals and projects
- Provide inputs into performance reviews of Analysts and Senior Analysts
- Conduct hiring, performance management and counseling
- Team-oriented with the ability to work with colleagues virtually
- Drives coaching conversations and participate effectively in check-is to have meaningful conversations helping the team members grow
- Projects integrity and confidence, fosters inclusion, motivating others through team collaboration and recognition of strengths, differences, and contributions
- Contributes consciously towards positive work environment by organizing activities, participating in initiatives and leading from the front
- Assist managers in implementing Service Line related goals for development of team members
- Previous experience of leading a team desirable
· Interpersonal Skill Set:
- Be able to combine timely and tactful influence to accomplish difficult tasks
- Have excellent communication skills with good oral and written communication capabilities
- Have thorough understanding and possess creativity to implement through technology
