The Team: GPS Markets | Strategy & Transformation (S&T)
The team
The GPS Markets | Strategy & Transformation (S&T) team in Government & Public Services Enabling Areas fulfills essential functions in support of the practice. S&T is responsible for designing & executing growth strategies and market sensing activities for Deloitte’s Federal, State & Local, and Higher Education work. This includes bespoke strategy services for internal business customers, growth forecasting, evaluation of market positioning and sizing, competitive intelligence, disruptive trends evaluations, and investment business case development.
Job summary
The Analyst is a dedicated position, supporting Innovation & Technology/assets portfolio within S&T full time. The Analyst leverages market expertise to lead and support strategy and research initiatives across the team.
Work you’ll do
· Conduct comprehensive market research to support assets within the GPS Innovation & Technology portfolio
· Perform independent research and data gathering to develop market knowledge and understand trends and shifts affecting the practice.
· Utilize analytical techniques and research tools to synthesize data from various sources, identify patterns and trends, and generate actionable insights that support Deloitte’s business decisions and strategies.
· Translate numbers, market/industry trends, and data to consumable insights - both explanatory and exploratory.
· Develop processes, models, and tools to inform GPS leaders and support overall growth.
· Conduct financial analysis to assess the performance, profitability, and growth of the business, using metrics and KPIs such as revenue, expenses, margins, and ROI.
· Examine data based on GPS finance KFIs (Key Financial Indicators) that align with the business objectives and goals, such as, revenue, forecast, budgeting, and acquisition cost.
· Develop clear and compelling reports and dashboards that visualize data and insights in a user-friendly and intuitive way, using best practices and standards for data presentation and visualization.
· Provide “so what” analysis that goes beyond describing what the data shows and explains why it matters, what are the implications, and what are the recommendations for action to the senior leadership.
· Cultivate connections across the practice and continually bring new insights and perspectives into analysis efforts.
· Mentor team members and wider practice as applicable to increase market knowledge and use of tools and resources.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, or another similar technical discipline.
· 2-3 years of experience in market research and analysis, competitive intelligence, or similar strategic functions.
· Knowledge of Deloitte’s GPS practice, sectors, offerings, and market dynamics.
· Understanding of products/P&L/assets is preferred
· Knowledge of or experience with software licensing/assets is a plus
· Experience with market research tools and practices.
· Working knowledge of financial and operational metrics/KPIs (key performance indicators) used by professional services firms.
· Proficiency in MS Office (including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills) and familiarity with various research tools (Factiva, Hoovers, Bloomberg, OneSource, D&B)
· Experience in financial analysis with finance based KPIs.
· Demonstrated strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
· In-depth analytical abilities, including data analysis, issue identification, and resolution tracking.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate with a team in a dynamic, cross-functional work environment.
· Detail-oriented with ability to plan, prioritize, and make decisions on multiple time-sensitive projects.
· Exposure to Tableau/ Power BI tools will be a value add.
· Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Work Location
Hyderabad or other India-based offices as approved.

2 PM – 11PM
