Job Title: Assistant Manger – Shared Services Center (GPS EA).
The Team:
Shared Services Centre (SSC) is a pool of talent who are trained on multiple capabilities such as Time & Expense, Billing, AR, Reporting, etc, and would assist mainstream Analysts on transactional & basic to medium analytical tasks. The SSC also serves as a developmental platform for campus hires with a focus on technical and soft skill learning.
Work you’ll do
· Be responsible for team delivering high quality output at all times. Conduct timely Root Cause Analysis and the associated action plan with immediate feedback to the Preparers/ Reviewers.
· Have a complete understanding of complex activities and review medium to complex activities
· Be on top of all queues within Mailbox and JIRA, allocate tasks to available production staff during the first hour everyday
· Look out for continous improvement/ efficiency ideas. Collaborate with business teams/ business systems team and implement innovations/ automations
· Lead calls with business teams and understand the activities in pipeline. Plan and facilitate trainings for team members
· Cascade new process updates immediately over a call and document by email. Take ownership of running refresher sessions for the team. Review and get required sign-off from business on all SOPs
· Provide timely feedback on the day-to-day performance through regular Checkins
· Drive recurring team meeting for the respective SO
· Have full understanding of peak and lean period - ensures staffing plan is maintained accordingly to handle expected volumes
· Investigate and provide immediate resolution for every escalation received from business team
· Mitigate risk, keep management informed when required and seek help proactively if required
· Ensure all training documents and SOPs are centrally located for team members’ view at all times
· New work from business teams to be recorded correctly and shared with management regularly. Develop and maintain all training material which would be used periodically
· Demonstrate mastery of understanding of journal entries, the engagement setup process, contract closeout, accrual preparation, revenue adjustments, labor category compliance, the investment call, time & expense issue resolution and other tools not specifically noted.
· Demonstrate the ability to drive US and India teams to achieve excellent account and engagement financial management results.

Qualification & Skills
Required / Preferred:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another similar technical discipline
· Should have been in people management role including managing performance management for at least one performance year
· 5-8 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting and analysis preferably in a global organization
· Understands financial accounting (income statements, balance sheets, cash flows) and financial, and operational metrics/KPIs (key performance indicators) used by professional services firms.
· Preferred knowledge on financial reporting tools and ERPs such as and not limited to Cognos, Costpoint, workday adaptive planning (FleX)
· Leverage advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office to create efficiencies and standardization in engagement and account reporting
