Job Title:  Assistant Manager - Government and Public Services Enabling Areas (GPS EA)

Job Summary:                  

The GPS Enabling Areas (GPS EA) Practice is a client-driven organization, partnering as trusted business advisors to champion operational excellence, lead building functions to support various facets of project life cycle and other key functions within Enabling Areas like Contracts, Pricing, General Ledger, Project Financials, Project Setup, Compliance and Business systems. As we continue to grow our team in response to unprecedented demand for our services across Deloitte, additional enhancements and new capabilities are needed. The GPS Enabling Areas practice is part of Deloitte Services LP, which ultimately provides services to Government and Public Services in the USA.

Work you’ll do

As an Assistant Manager USI GPS EA, you will responsible for managing multiple service offerings offered by the Procurement PMO team along with people management. Below is a list of activities he/she would be involved in and oversee but not limited to:

·       Demonstrate mastery understanding of the service offerings in portfolio, processes and trackers.

·       Lead training initiatives for new and existing team members

·       Drive adoption of standard tools and processes to ensure high quality deliverables and lead a culture of process improvement.

·       Resourceful with the ability to solve problems and work through obstacles and constraints to deliver results

·       Ability to structure thoughts in a logical flow with appropriate storytelling skills.

·       Support development and implementation of processes that align with the team’s objectives.

·       Escalate issues identified where methodologies, processes and procedures are not properly followed and work to implement change to address those deficiencies.

·       Become a role model for junior practitioners.  Inspire others to act and drive positive behaviors.

·       Communicate at an appropriate level and help translate user requirements into appropriate solutions

·       Monitor, review, and ensure completion of tasks for procurement with quality and timeliness by other team members

·       Maintain clear process documentation, updated trackers and quality.

·       Seek new and challenging initiative experiences to positively impact our Practice and our people.

·       Support and engage in reward and recognition of junior resources

·       Seek, provide and act on constructive feedback.

·       Participate in formal performance assessment activities for assigned staff and work with Practice leadership to track/resolve performance issues.

·       Represent the PMO team, handle the team and excellent stakeholder management skills.

·       Be an effective coach by working with counselees to explore their strengths and find opportunities to leverage those strengths.

·       Drive a "One Team" mindset between other GPSC teams.

Qualification & Skills

Required:

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations, Finance, or another similar technical discipline

·       Minimum of 8 years' experience in operations preferably in a global organization

·       Leverage advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office to create efficiencies and standardization in engagement and account reporting

·       Ability to coordinate and work effectively with teammates, end-users, and leadership

·       Ability to work in a hybrid team environment

·       Ability to complete work in an acceptable timeframe and manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives and satisfy internal and external customer needs related to the job

·       Effective Communication - Clearly articulates views in written and verbal discussions. Holds excellent command over English language.

·       Problem Solving / Analytical skills – Ability to collect and analyze data quickly and efficiently. Can identify issues and provide ideas/solutions for resolution.

·       Leads change – Identifies both opportunities and needs for change. Adapts quickly and responds effectively to change.

·       Ability to deliver outstanding results – Completes tasks, activities, and projects in a timely and effective manner. Communicates progress on projects with others to ensure overall alignment. Provides ideas and input to help team achieve greater result.

·       Interpersonal Skills – Relate well to stakeholders, colleagues & team members. Maintain a positive, supportive & appreciative attitude. Actively listen to others & demonstrate an understanding of their point of view.

·       Technical skills: Hands-on experience and implementation of Power BI and Power Apps.

People Skills

·       Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and multiple team members with confidence.

·       Should have prior team management experience, leading at least 5-20 professionals in his / her current role.

·       Should have prior experience in managing the performance process for the professionals

·       Ability to mentor junior resources allowing and advising their career progression.

·       Provide ongoing coaching to direct reports relative to core work and professional skills.

·       Support and engage in recognition of high performing individuals.

·       Participate in training engagements and share knowledge in a structural format advised.

Work Location:  Hyderabad

Timings: 2 PM – 11PM
