Position Summary

Job Title: Executive Manager - Contracts 

GPS Contracts is composed of acquisition professionals with expertise in a broad range of topics, including prime contracting, multiple award schedules, subcontracts, small business relationships, and client property. GPS Contracts provides support to GPS Practice engagement teams through all phases of the contract lifecycle from pre-award to contract close.

Work you’ll do

As the Executive Manager for the team, you will be responsible for the talent matters and operations of the overall USI GPS Contracts team and might have a direct oversight of few of the sub-teams within.

This role requires a strong and demonstrated ability to manage a team of employees in a demanding and changing environment. Issue resolutions and communicating with multiple levels of leadership are critical functions of this position.

Leadership

·        Demonstrate the ability to lead US and USI teams to achieve excellent client service.

·        Become a role model for junior practitioners.  Inspire others to act and drive positive behaviors.

·        Seek new and challenging initiative experiences to positively impact our Practice and our people.

·        Build eminence as a Deloitte expert and be recognized as a role model and senior member by client teams.

·        Support and engage in reward and recognition of junior resources.

People Development

·        Seek, provide and act on constructive feedback.

·        Play a key role in recruiting and new hire onboarding efforts.

·        Participate in formal performance assessment activities for assigned staff and work with Practice leadership to track/resolve performance issues.

·        Be an effective coach by working with coachees to explore their strengths and find opportunities to leverage those strengths.

·        Drive a "One Team" mindset between US and USI team members.

Philosophy of ONE team    

·        Be the ambassador in ensuring that all sub-groups are integrated as one within the overall ruleset and business needs.

·        Create and maintain mechanisms to integrate new team members hired from external sources into the group.

·        Develop and maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders including Service Area leaders, US GPS leaders, Finance, OGC etc.

·        Ability to see what isn’t yet there – the “art of the possible” and identify opportunities.

·        Ensure timely communication and flow of information among leadership and key stakeholders for projects/initiatives.

·        Proactively ensures that various stake holders are informed on performance of services from GPS which includes people, process and technology by having regular connects.

·        Develop compelling, logically structured presentations and deliverables that will be shared at the leadership level.

Qualifications

Required / Preferred:

·        Graduate with over 12 years overall experience out of which atlease 4 years in handling large teams.

·        Experience working in a highly regulated environment

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office

·        Good analytical and strategic thinking skills

·        Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification or equivalent

·        Procurement/Supply Chain experience

·        Operational knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is preferred
