The Global Consulting Services (GCS) works globally across practices and borders to support Deloitte’s Strategy, Risk & Transactions (SR&T) and Technology & Transformation (T&T) businesses. Within Global Consulting Services, the Delivery pillar leads and empowers Member Firms and other Global areas to drive service delivery transformation and improve client delivery quality and efficiency.
Overview of the role
The Ascend SR&T program support will play a key role in building towards our vision for a common delivery platform infrastructure that modernizes our ways of working across our business globally. They will be responsible for supporting the delivery of platform initiatives including program management, product governance and program governance, with a focus on SR&T and Advisory.
Key responsibilities
Program Management:
o Collaborate with workstream leads to develop, assess, and finalize materials necessary for effective program management
o Establish and manage a regular cadence for follow-up meetings to review progress, address actions, manage risks and resolve issues
o Participate in agile planning sessions to stay informed about the development progress, sprint goals, and any blockers or dependencies
o Work in partnership with Offerings leads to drive timelines, initiatives and future roadmap
Program Governance:
o Assist executive leadership in shaping the program, evaluating funding requests, prioritizing initiatives, and advising on resource allocation
o Support the development of materials as part of the annual Investment Summit process
o Create and maintain executive reporting and presentation materials that provide clear insight into program status, risks, and performance
o Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
Product Governance:
o Facilitate discussions and decision-making processes regarding resource allocation and investment between US and Global stakeholders
o Work with the GCS Financial Controller to track spend vs. project outcomes
o Collaborate with stakeholders across Offerings and US and Global teams to ensure consistency in roadmap, features, and key priorities
Requisite core skills
• Project Management: Ability to prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to various stakeholders
• Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders to gather and align requirements for cross-platform efforts
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve collective objectives and socialize work products with key stakeholders
• Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. Flexibility to work across different time zones and cultures
• Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions. Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide regular updates to senior leadership, deliver presentations, and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing
We are looking for a passionate, high energy, and self-motivated individual who is accustomed to working independently and collaboratively on small and large projects in a close-knit team.
• Work experience: 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong track record with previous teams/business
• Location: India - Hyderabad
• Comfortable working with team members and stakeholders across geographies and time zones
• Work hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM OR 02:00 PM – 11:00 PM (expected to be flexible with time zones)
• Hybrid working: The individual is expected to come to the base location office at least 2 days a week as per the hybrid plan
