National Office – Analyst, Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA Analyst)

Engagement Financial Advisors:

Deloitte's Engagement Financial Advisor team is comprised of professionals specializing in project and account operations serving as a focal point for aspects of engagement, program, and account management control. Engagement Financial Advisors provide engagement management knowledge for the entire project management team(s) by assisting with initiating and controlling organization and logistical aspects of projects. Their greatest value, however, is in the understanding and application of engagement business and financial processes, both to individual projects and to client accounts.

Work you’ll do

As an Analyst, Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA), you will assist project leadership in managing revenue and margins by emphasizing cost of delivery that affects overall engagement profitability. In addition, you will:

• Maintain compliance with clients’ policies, perform internal financial analysis including budgeting, forecasting, and cost variance analysis, and help manage projects’ billing and receivables process.

• Monitor project performance and determine improvement areas by developing key performance indicators and frequently communicate with the project team, finance department, and other project stakeholders to keep projects on track and within the scope of cost.

• Team and collaborate with other EFAs across the practice, including our practitioners in USA.

Job location –HYD/BLR (4 days WFO- for first six of months of joining; following 7th month 2-3 days in office)

Standard Office timing – 2PM to 11PM

The Team

Our Engagement Financial Advisor team, part of Deloitte Services LLP, helps clients define what they need and how it can be delivered. We work with clients to define their projects’ scope in as much detail as possible using advanced financial, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. We provide realistic cost estimates that account for projects’ phases and activities, people, materials, hardware, and software and produce the best- and worst-case estimates using leading-edge project and client management software to keep clients’ projects on track and on cost.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2 - 7 years of experience

• B.A. / B.S. majoring in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Management

• Proficiency with the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting and finance principles

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills

• Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team

• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to "think outside the box" while identifying problems and developing creative solutions

Preferred:

• Experience working in a financial analysis role

• Experience with MS Access and MS Project applications

• Post Graduate degree

Lifestyle/Travel Guidelines:

• Engagement Financial Advisors work at a minimum of 45 hours per week, and can often work in excess of that depending on need.

• At Deloitte, we have adopted a Hybrid Working Model. We expect that the majority of our professionals will reside within a commutable distance of their assigned office location in order to leverage the office facilities for project meetings, coaching and training sessions, collaboration or working from the office, when necessary.

• All candidates must be willing and able to travel as needed for their clients, however, depending on staffing needs, most positions are in-office-based with limited travel required.
