Lead Specialist/Assistant Manager, Learning and Development

The team

The Deloitte Leadership and Human Potential (DLHP) organization addresses skills development to enable business performance and the growth of our professionals’ human potential. DLHP aims to serve leaders at all levels via three areas of leadership skills development: Foundational Leadership, Marketplace Leadership, and Human Potential.   DLHP is in the business of enabling human-oriented leaders to bring their best selves to work, life, and community.

Work you’ll do:

Within our Development Center of Excellence, you will actively participate in projects focused on aligning learning and development solutions with business priorities. Responsibilities may include:

  • Oversee multiple projects within the Leadership Foundations and Human Potential space and assist in project management of projects and track completion of tasks on a periodic basis.  
  • Conduct secondary research on internal and external best practices in leadership development and behavior change.
  • Apply research findings to design learning solutions and strategies.
  • Facilitate the development of innovative digital learning experiences focused on leadership and human skills.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and manage vendor relationships.
  • Consolidate status reports across all projects to update leadership on progress, potential issues, and risks on an ongoing basis.
  • Document project specs and detailed plans of action to ensure efficiency and uniformity throughout the project.
  • Collaborate to plan, create, and review the learning interventions and experiences for quality and accuracy.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Handle ambiguity and escalate issues for resolution.
  • Possess strong understanding of adult learning principles and an inclination to learn on the job
  • Show interest in psychology, human behavior, leadership development, and learning experience design tools and practices.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with digital learning experience design tools like SharePoint, Zoomforth, Articulate etc.
  • Have experience with a learning and development organization and possess prior consulting or professional services experience.
  • Display enthusiasm and meticulousness, preferably with a background in instructional design for leadership and human potential development.
  • Showcase the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance learning and development initiatives, ensuring the integration of cutting-edge technologies in training programs.
  • Manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Promote innovation within the firm.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 6 years of related professional experience.
  • Proven experience in project and program management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
  • Familiarity with digital learning technologies and authoring tools (SharePoint, Zoomforth, Articulate, Brainshark etc.)
  • Willingness to travel 20% on average.
  • Background in Learning & Development, especially in leadership and human potential development programs.
  • Experience in project management, including vendor and stakeholder management, and financial management in a multi-geographical setting.
  • Awareness of contemporary leadership trends and human potential development.
