Assistant Manager – DRS - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

Join the team aligned with CBS Growth, working as part of an extended NSE. The DRS team consists of industry-aligned professionals who collaborate with Client Relationship Executives (CREs) and Client Account Managers (CAMs) to provide integrated, cross-functional support to Deloitte's priority accounts. This support spans six key impact areas: Client Relationships, Strategic Opportunities, Account Team Operations, Quality and Risk, Commercials, and Leadership. The role is expected to be part of a team of up to 10 individuals, reporting to the Manager. The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the DRS team.

At DRS you’ll work with senior leaders, enabling account teams to deliver the best of Deloitte and strengthen relationships with our most important clients. With a client-first mindset, you will align with Deloitte’s businesses to execute business priorities and expand our services footprint, help develop and deliver account strategies to address client issues, bring insights and leading practices to accounts, and drive operational efficiencies to keep client service professionals’ client-facing and help account teams win work.

Work you’ll do.

As a part of DRS team, you will be responsible for:

The Assistant Manager (AM) will serve as the primary liaison between the DRS Manager and industry-aligned teams composed of Analysts and Senior Analysts. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of the specified industries. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for helping manage a team of up to 10 individuals, including Analysts and Senior Analysts, while also being a key team member within a single industry and maintaining close contact with the NSE CRE/CAM team for that industry. The AM will assist the Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the DRS team and help establish KPIs to measure performance. The key activities of the team will include:


·       The incumbent will play a significant role in developing new accounts, designing market-facing strategic insights solutions, and supervising research solutions for senior leadership in Deloitte intended for their business development, client engagement, practice development, or eminence agendas.

·       Drive consultative discussions to engage prospective users to gauge their current and future needs. Suggest alternatives, and design customized solutions meeting unique needs of diverse customer groups. 

·       Responsible for the account management of a set of existing customers and augmenting client intimacy generating increased demand. 

·       Experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis that reflect ability to connect various pieces of information, identifying patterns and forming logical structure to present a compelling story. Financial analysis, and strategic frameworks are used extensively in the team’s output.

·       Present crisp and actionable insights/recommendations for senior leadership with an acute focus for Deloitte’s clients and businesses

·       Manage results in projects following the best practices in project and time management, while adhering to quality guidelines always

·       Liaise with colleagues from Deloitte offices spread across the globe and stakeholders to understand, refine, and manage project expectations and priorities.

·       Lead service delivery of a sector and industry.

·       As a people manger you will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and to drive team performance.

·       Work towards process enhancement focussing on continuous service improvement and scalability.

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

DRS team are aligned to an industry (e.g., Energy, Resources & Industrials, Financial Services; Consumer; Life Sciences & Health Care; or Technology, Media & Telecom and Deloitte Private). We help build and execute client service strategies, optimize internal support, and increase efficiencies to enable our account teams to provide the best Deloitte client experience.

Qualifications

Required:

·         Post graduate degree with a work experience of 6-8 years, including at least two years in Market research, Business development and supervising teams.

·         Exceptional attention to details, project ownership, and strong track record of executing high-impact projects and initiatives.

·         Understanding of business operations and market dynamics

·         Ability to connect financial metrics with operational activities.

·         Excellent business writing, report writing, and communication skills.

·         Advance proficiency in Microsoft Word, POWER BI, Excel and PowerPoint Solid research skills and familiarity with various research tools (Bloomberg, D&B, S&P, Capital IQ, Factiva)

Preferred:

·       A growth mindset that applies in ability to identify and prioritize an outreach plan with new customer groups. Experience in increasing team’s/product visibility by proactively engaging internal/external stakeholders.

·       Ability to negotiate and manage constraints to ensure optimal balance between demand and resourcing.

·       Experience in cross-selling/up-selling to expand the team’s footprint.

·       Identify new growth opportunities for the team’s services.

·       Ability to provide solutions proactively based on current or potential requirements.

  • Strong understanding of one or more industries which translates into developing business-facing insights solutions.
  • Critical thinking that can help look beyond obvious and create hypothesis.
  • Ability to generate extrapolative and forward-looking insights through both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Proficiency in analysing financial statements and operating metrics of companies to assess opportunities for Deloitte and our clients.
  • Ability to analyse Industry performance indicators (KPIs) – operational and financial.
  • Familiarity with operating structures and regulations
  • Understanding of business models and value chain that includes role of various entities.
  • Prior experience in report writing for senior management and/or external publications is an added advantage.
  • Articulate ideas and point of views in a confident and effective manner in client calls during all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Communication should reflect logical thinking and consultative approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills and should be able to present findings and engage senior leadership and manage upwards.
  • Manage a team and ensure employees are engaged.

·       Ability to drive consultative discussions with stakeholders to probe the desired outcomes and suggest appropriate solutions.

·       Pre-empt potential intelligence needs and architect new products/services/frameworks.
