Deputy Manager – Government & Public Services (GPS) – Account Excellence Services (AES)

Work you’ll do
Account Excellence Services (AES) professionals in the Client Account Management team of GPS industry perform a host of tasks that are key to how our account teams serve clients. As an Assistant Manager in AES, you would lead a small team to deliver high impact projects related to pursuit support, research, account communication, CRM administration and reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Daily/weekly allocation of tasks and responsibilities to team members
· Providing guidance to team members to meet individual as well as team delivery and utilization targets
· Carrying out quality review of deliverables developed by the team and maintaining a quality tracker of the same
· Providing timely, specific, and actionable feedback on team members’ performance
· Identifying and addressing learning and development needs of team members
· Providing coaching and mentoring to team members to set them up for success and to help with career growth
· Working on and assisting team members on projects and deliverables related to pursuit support, research, CRM administration and reporting, especially on the more critical projects
· Assisting AES leadership on initiatives to socialize AES offerings across various user groups so as to drive demand and increase uptake of services
· Identifying opportunities to bring in efficiencies in delivery and operations of the team
· Leading initiatives in the team to drive continuous improvement of process and services and to develop culture of innovation in the team
· Taking lead in managing various reporting requirements to AES and GPS CAM leadership
· Assisting AES leadership in recruiting, retaining, and motivating team members
· Working closely with the AES leadership in contributing to and executing the team’s strategic priorities
Qualification and experience Required:
· 8+ years of professional experience in Proposal support, Research, Project management, Account management, Business development
· At least 2 years’ experience in supervising teams
· MBA (full time)
Location: Hyderabad
Work timings: 2:00 pm – 11:00 pm IST.
Skills
· Strong client and project management skills
· Strong understanding of client service, marketing, sales/pre-sales in a professional services firm
· Strong working knowledge of pursuit management, secondary research, and CRM administration
· Ability to lead small teams by managing their work pipeline and meeting delivery and utilization targets
· Strong performance management, coaching, including evaluating performance, delivering timely and effective feedback, providing career coaching, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to differentiate writing style based on audience. Executive presence with an ability to support communications and interactions with leadership
· Excellent team player with experience working and driving conversations with virtual teams, including proven ability to collaborate with US based teams
· Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and story boarding skills
· Strong working knowledge of pursuit management and secondary research.
· Conflict resolution, negotiation. Ability to Manage up and build strong stakeholder relationship.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite – MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
· Experience in developing reporting dashboards using Tableau, or PowerBI
· Knowledge of Salesforce CRM tool.
· Knowledge of the U.S. Government marketplace and policy areas such as government spending, health care, education, human services, digitalization will be an advantage.
The Team
The Government and Public Services (GPS) team provides solutions in support of market positioning and acquisition activities to maximize Deloitte’s revenue, relationships, and reputation in the Government marketplace. The team works in collaboration with the US stakeholders in identifying and tracking opportunities, account spending and opportunity analysis, as well as competitive and market intelligence support for Government pursuits. The team works closely with the US GPS channels under Client and Sales Excellence including Marketing and Communications, Information Management, Account Management, Competitive & Market Intelligence, Pursuits, and Strategy.
Client Account Management (CAM) professionals assist internal account leaders in strengthening relationships and expanding services to Deloitte’s most important clients. U.S. and India based CAM professionals work in partnership and help generate strategic industry, cross-functional and account level insights to address client issues. In addition, the CAM professionals help drive internal account operations, such that the account leaders can win work and create more value for our clients
