Position Summary


Audio Visual Engineer – Analyst CL3:

  • The scope of this position includes setup and operate audio visual equipment for trainings, presentations, meetings and conference rooms but not limited to break fixing assistance. Hands and feet support and at ground level, back end technical support during small/large size meetings/events and daily room checks installation, support and maintenance of all audiovisual equipment within the organization

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

  • The candidate must be capable to resolve major AV issues, troubleshoot and provide solutions under high-pressure circumstances
  • Must have the ability to make immediate decisions in order to provide the client with an immediate solution with minimal downtime
  • Set up communication process including daily meetings, team meetings, communication log, etc. Work with state-of-the-art Audio-Visual systems, Video / Tele conferencing equipment; including webcast, telephone conferencing, and ISDN
  • Communicate requirements to team members for completion of AV support requests
  • Be able to upload and display PowerPoint presentations and slide shows
  • Coordinate with external vendors to successfully execute large scale events / Projects
  • Schedule equipment and staff to cover the conference and events of the week ahead
  • Speak with other technology providers to integrate services
  • Track equipment inventory and controls as well as SLA compliance including response time and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure room check inspections and regular preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment on a daily basis
  • Verify daily AV Room checklist carried out by the onsite Engineers
  • Perform other duties assigned by Client management
  • To develop, evolve, compile and complete monthly and quarterly metrics and reports and business case analysis
  • Attend the Large Event Planning Team meeting, based on client requests
  • Knowledge of the AV industry with experience in Polycom endpoints, MCUs, Crestron processors, Video data projection systems, video switchers, microphones, video cameras, audio systems
  • Good understanding of support requirement for Video Conferencing, Desktop, Laptops, portable devices and knowledge Hardware standards, networking and operating systems (Win/Mac)
  • Strong communication, data analytics and presentation skills. Has demonstrated, in previous roles, his/her ability to effectively, concisely and clearly communicate his/her viewpoint, complex or large-scale business or operational considerations, and key decision points
  • Experience in the creation and deployment of operational processes, standards for desktop support in a heterogeneous computing environment
  • Execution oriented with proven abilities and know-how to effectively and efficiently navigate the organization to enable self and team to get things done
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Has developed, in previous roles, strong, lasting relationships with multiple stakeholders, partners and customers and consistently works collaboratively, effectively and efficiently with others
  • Strong influencing & negotiation skills. Where possible, consistently achieves win/win results and demonstrates competence in resolving conflicts and reaching compromise with others
  • Has relevant experience in successfully managing issues involved in implementation of new technology & process
  • The Events Team focuses on planning and executing high quality events connecting remote locations and participants with real-time video/Audio and live streaming. Examples of events include Town halls, Auditoriums, Atriums, Global training Seminars, Client Conferences etc.

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Electronics Engineering or computer science
  • Certified Technology Specialist - CTS
  • Extron AV Associate
  • Certified Audio Engineer CAE
  • Biamp, Harman, Poly/Cisco Video conferencing
