Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – Proposal Management – Government & Public Services (GPS) – Pursuit Center of Excellence (PCOE)

Work you’ll do
As a Pursuit lead on our team you will:
- Manage pursuit teams to develop proposal responses and oral presentations in a timely manner
- Independently lead proposal opportunities, providing support to the proposal writing/design team and account team
- Drive Pursuit stakeholder conversations in the right direction, bringing in leading practices to ensure that the messaging is meaningful to the client
- Ensure that key points discussed during Pursuit calls are shared with engagement teams, and follow up with individual stakeholders to put together datapoints that substantiate win theme
- Make significant contribution to the development and continuous improvement of proposal management processes, tools, and templates
- Ideate closely with the designer and research team, offering ideas and opinions based on understanding of client needs to bring in differentiated content and impactful design
- Synthesize data from all sources, determine essential areas and apply results to pursuit effort. Demonstrate a high level of comprehension and application in delivering proposal content.
- Provide the leadership, methodologies, procedures, tools, and templates to support proposal development efforts
- Appropriately support pursuit team in developing win themes and messaging that supports established win themes. Identify gaps in approach and makes effective recommendations.
- Adjust to shifting priorities, stringent deadlines, last minute requirements, and occasional evening/weekend hours to accomplish tasks within non-negotiable client deadlines
- Act as the central point for the proposal development process –
- Evaluate the requirements
- Manage a timely process
- Working with the proposal team to develop content that is clear, effective and consistent
- Can assume this leadership role for extremely complex proposals
- Demonstrate and contribute techniques and experience
- Demonstrate confidence and maintain focus on top priority actionable items.
- Work with leadership to navigate team dynamics to achieve meeting outcomes.
- Mentor others in developing their facilitative skills
- Lead the proposal development team –
- Create proposal and presentation outlines to obtain buy-in from the team early in the process
- Perform additional analysis of all mandatory requirements and evaluation criteria to expand on the base requirements
- Manage team members (of various specialties and at various levels of seniority) to develop responses that meet the needs of potential clients
- Demonstrate the ability to bring creativity and original thinking to the framing and structuring of proposal
- Contribute to the development of team –
- Collaborate with Asst Managers/other team members and conduct due diligence
- Support positive team building
- Take and conduct training as appropriate
- Continuously refine and improve response methodology
- Introduce and share best in class content and examples with pursuit teams.
Qualifications
Required
- Have approximately 8+ years of work experience with minimum of five (5) years in proposal management/proposal development
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)/ Technology
- 3+ years’ experience in supervising teams
Skills
- Experience in leading large and complex proposals independently
- Diversity of experience in large corporate organizations and small business concerns
- Excellent communicator – both written and oral
- Experience leading teams in strategic and tactical discussions
- Ability to Gather information through appropriate technologies and network; analyze data to create content to best position the pursuit team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- A team player with an outstanding ability to work with people at all levels, including senior executives
- Demonstrated ability to influence others, from staff to senior leaders through a strong presence, thoughtful challenges, and use of sound judgment
- Strong interpersonal skills, including aptitude for building relationships, understanding team dynamics, taking initiative, and solving problems
- Keen listener, with the ability to quickly grasp ideas to be reflected in written documents and presentations
- Ability to read situations and adapt leadership style to achieve results
- Ability to work with grace and efficiency in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
- Team-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple projects at once

Preferred:
- Training in formal capture/proposal methodologies
- Industry-wide best practices in proposal management
Work Timings: 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
