Assistant Manager – Government & Public Services Clients and Markets Growth (GPS CMG) - Programs & Initiatives (P&I)

We are looking for a candidate with experience in leading from the front by driving projects, building networks and relationships, sharing knowledge, and assist in key business decisions. Someone who has a flair for marketing research, data management and reporting, is open to challenges, has an innovative & analytical thought process, and can quickly adapt to changing business requirements.

This individual will work within GPS Team and in collaboration with U.S. stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in targeted research and is comfortable with data interpretation and analysis. This individual has demonstrated experience independently managing multiple, concurrent projects while working collaboratively across a virtual team

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead multiple assignments around research and analysis using a comprehensive set of primary and secondary data on the competition, capabilities, and markets
  • Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership.
  • Preparing reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
  • Gather opportunity information from multiple resources and analyze the requirements to map our relevant capabilities. Aggregate, classify and deliver the opportunity reports to account teams and provide recommendations.
  • Provide key management reports and analyses to support effective practice development strategy and management decisions
  • Work on projects related to competitive and market intelligence, competitor profiles, opportunity analysis, as well as pursuit related research (Public Sector).
  • Collect and synthetize of competitor data and messaging, case studies, and key personnel profiles as well as Department/Agency reports, budget, and organizational information.
  • Perform deep dive analysis into GPS industry contracts, qualifications, and competitor market share.
  • Develop market intelligence artifacts to understand trends, identify opportunities and mitigate competition using data visualization tools
  • Drive conceptualization, design and development of dashboards that help the business with decision making
  • Identify opportunity specific competitors that includes performing qualitative and quantitative analysis to help determine competitors’ relative bid position and bid strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of research processes, tools, and templates
  • Provide the leadership, methodologies, procedures, tools, and templates to support US based practice
  • Have responsibility across multiple, concurrent projects. Adjust to shifting priorities, stringent deadlines, last minute requirements, to accomplish tasks within non-negotiable client deadlines

Skills:

  • Six or more years of work experience, including at least five years in business research/analysis
  • Knowledge of the US Government marketplace and policy areas such as government spending, health care, education, human services, digitalization will be an advantage
  • Exhibit ability to synthesize, organize and present information in structured manner (storyboarding)
  • Ability to analyze information and make sound observations and recommendations quickly
  • Sound understanding of marketing concepts with strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong client & project management skills with proven experience in providing counsel to senior executives
  • Good data visualization skills and ability to present data analysis in intuitive graphical and tabular formats. Familiarity with data visualization tools will be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau and PowerBI
  • Attention to detail and adherence to quality guidelines, standards and best practices.
  • Prompt decision making and providing the necessary justification for actions taken on the opportunities reviewed
  • Strong client & project management skills with proven experience in providing counsel to senior executives
  • A team player with an outstanding ability to work with people at all levels, including senior executives
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, from staff to senior leaders through a strong presence, thoughtful challenges, and use of sound judgment
  • Excellent team player with experience working and driving conversations with virtual teams, including proven ability to collaborate with a U.S. based team

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in competitor market research, project management and business development
  • Any Graduate Degree and MBA (full time)

Work Timings: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM

The Team

GPS Clients and Markets Growth (CMG) is a Green Dot channel, driving market leadership by creating an end to end experience for our GPS leaders, professionals and clients. The team provides solutions in support of market positioning and acquisition activities to maximize Deloitte’s revenue, relationships, and reputation in the Government marketplace. The team works in collaboration with the US stakeholders in identifying and tracking opportunities, account spending and opportunity analysis, as well as competitive and market intelligence support for Government pursuits. The team also supports client accounts by navigating the firm, curating and delivering the best of Deloitte for the client, and leading core account operations to accelerate profitable growth. The team works closely with the US GPS channels under Client and Sales Excellence including Marketing and Communications, Information Management, Account Management, Competitive & Market Intelligence, Pursuits, and Strategy.
