Within the GCS, we are Engagement & Transformation Pillar (E&T), supporting cross pillar integration and community while driving alignment to and execution of our Global Consulting Services strategy through six key levers – Engagement & Integration, Change, Communications, Office of GCS, Strategic PMO, and Leadership Talent.
Overview of the role
The GCS, Leadership Talent Senior Consultant/Manager will be a key member of broader GCS Engagement & Transformation Pillar supporting leaders and teams in the execution and operations across the global strategic plans and priorities.
Work you’ll do
The professional will act as a strategic enabler and advisor to Global Consulting Services Leaders, driving executive decision making. The professional will help accelerate execution of our Global Consulting Services strategic agenda by delivering high impact strategic projects, simplifying, and streamlining operations (reporting, PMO activities etc.), creating compelling and transparent leadership communications to solve the most complex challenges in exponentially powerful ways. The professional will work with senior leaders across global consulting services practice. The professional will need to develop a knowledge of the firm’s Consulting Services business, strategic priorities to enable sharing of insights. The team’s projects are typically high-impact and high-visibility aligned to the global firm and Consulting Services leadership’s strategic priorities. Projects often involve collaboration across workstreams to ensure coordination and alignment.
Key responsibilities
The team consists of yourself, and a Senior Manager based in Australia. The role will report directly into the Senior Manager and will be responsible for:
Day to day management and ownership of:
o Leader masters; GPG requests and Global Mobility/Finance/Communications relationship.
o Partnering with Global Mobility and Finance to ensure accuracy and alignment of data
o Annual review of DPN/Global.dcom
Managing the onboarding process for new Global Consulting Services Leaders
Ownership of the Inclusive Leadership Assessment process for our Leaders
Supporting the Leader succession management process
Supporting the Global Consulting Services Leadership talent cycle including goals setting, mid-year and year-end activities
Supporting diversity initiatives and growing our Leader talent pipeline
Given the time zones, where Executive requests are made that can’t be facilitated by the Senior Manager – working with Executives to support requests
Learning program design (in response to identified Leader needs and themes)
Supporting projects with the Senior Manager (please note projects will vary across the year):
o Onboarding Portal project | revamp, refresh, and relaunch
o Ignite program launch (connecting leaders across Global Consulting Services)
o Understanding ‘what’s keeping our leaders up at night?’; build themes; identify solutions
o ‘This is Me’ series
o Portfolio Leader Connection series
Requisite core skills
- Experience leveraging data to drive strategic decision making and direction. Attention to detail is a must
- Strong excel knowledge and ability to manipulate spreadsheets and numbers
- Strong project planning/project management skills essential
- Ability for idea generation; solving client problems and positioning solutions
- Learning background – ability to link businesses strategic objectives and needs to learning possibilities/options and program/course design
- Executive communications – verbal communications, and storytelling through your written and visual communications
- Experience working effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, matrixed and global virtual environment with minimal ‘face time’.
- Ability to independently manage to deadlines and outcomes – and drive initiatives to successful conclusions.
- Experience successfully influencing and galvanizing leaders to actions.
- Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders (e.g. across geographies, service lines, offerings etc.).
Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing
We are looking for a passionate, high energy, and self-motivated individual who is accustomed to working independently and collaboratively on small and large projects in a close-knit team.
- Academic qualification: Master’s Degree like MBA (preferred)
- Work experience: 8-12 years of relevant experience
- Strong track record with previous employment, preferably with consulting firms or corporate strategy
- Comfortable working with team members and stakeholders across geographies and time zones
Work Location: Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Delhi
Work hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (expected to be flexible with day light savings and time zones)
