ETA Functional & Testing Analyst, Analyst
The mission of Quality and Risk Management (QRM) is to manage the risk in our growing and increasingly complex business to improve financial performance and protect the firm’s assets and reputation. Enabling Technical & Analytics (ET&A) team sits within QRM to support the technology and analytics needs of the QRM team. We are looking for a high performing Analyst to support the advancement of strategic platform and tool enablement.
Enabling Technology and Analytics (ET&A) team is currently seeking a full-time Analyst, who is self-motivated and thinks outside the box for a functional and testing role. This job requires serving as a functional expert with the ability to quickly learn the functionality of a new product and participate in the requirement gathering (creating functional documents) and testing process (test case development, conducting testing, helping conduct UAT testing with stakeholders). Prior experience with automating testing is preferred.
Work you’ll do
- Conduct system, performance, regression, and smoke testing.
- Review requirements and prepare test scenarios that can be incorporated across multiple phases of testing including unit, system, integration, functional, performance, and regression testing.
- Support the functional team in organizing and leading UAT including designing test plans, creating test cases, coordinating with end users, tracking the testing status, meeting the testing deadline, and ensuring high level of testing quality.
- Follow all the testing processes as defined by the team.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Support continuous improvement (e.g., test automation, etc.). Able to create automation test scripts.
- Support the technical team in defect root cause analysis and triage.
- · Utilize retrospectives from the releases to improve future test cases and approaches.
- Assist in automation test creation and maintenance.
- Work collaboratively with others in support of the ET&A team priority initiatives and/or ad hoc activities, as needed.
- Support and suggest ways to continuously improve processes to enhance relationships and business impact.

Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in technical field.
- 0-3 years relevant work experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate (verbally and written) to all levels of the business.
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to multi-task.
- Ability to act proactively and take the lead when appropriate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work successfully on a virtual team.
- Knowledge of different Testing types (Unit, Functional, Acceptance, Automation, Performance, etc.).
- Knowledge of developing test scenarios, test cases, execution of test cases, and documentation of test results.
- Knowledge of various testing approaches (e.g., local testing, white-box (logic driven), black-box (requirements driven), load testing, coverage testing and regression testing).
- Knowledge/Experience with UFT and ALM.
- Possess knowledge and experience working with SQL Server and RDMS.
- Experience MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience with Agile software implementation approach.
Preferred:
- Experience with different Testing types (Unit, Functional, Acceptance, Automation, Performance, etc.).
- Experience with various testing approaches (e.g., local testing, white-box (logic driven), black-box (requirements driven), load testing, coverage testing and regression testing)
- Experience developing and maintaining automation scripts and frameworks.
- Automation and/or robotics tool familiarity – MicroFocus UFT, Rational Tooling, and Open-Source Automation Tools (ex: Selenium, Cucumber, OpSoapUI, PostMan, RESTAssured, Mockito)
- Experience with using GEN AI to create automated test scripts.
- Experience with Octane or another lifecycle management tool.
