The Human Capital Offering Portfolio focuses on helping organizations manage and sustain their performance through their most important asset: their people. Centered on five core issues, this Portfolio signifies to the market that we see Human Capital as a topic critical to the C-Suite. As we go-to-market we will show our clients that we serve more than HR organizations – from the CEO to CFO, Risk Manager to Business Unit leader—and that we deliver on our issues and help create value for our client

HC-As-A-Service has six Market Offerings:

  • HC Research & Sensing
  • HC Operate
  • Expertise as a Service
  • Workforce Analytics as a service
  • Strategic communications

The HC Expertise as a Service offering focuses on providing services to our clients that require deep expertise such as Project Management skills, actuarial support, etc.

Deloitte is looking for candidates having experience in but not be limited to, preparation of product pricing, competitor research, benchmarking analyses, rate filing support and miscellaneous projects in lines of business.

Key job responsibilities (can be filled by multiple roles):

  1. Valuation & Financial Reporting:
    1. Reserve balances under GAAP, Statutory, and Tax
    2. Consolidate valuation results
    3. Statutory filings and exhibits
    4. Quarterly GAAP earnings review and memos
    5. Unlocking and assumption update quantifications
    6. Reconciliation of actuarial ledger accounts
    7. SOX and MAR controls (performance and sign-off)
    8. Audit and external stakeholder support
  2. ICALM (Modeling Services):
    1. Model conversions and enhancements
    2. Model testing and validation
    3. Model production
    4. Model governance (development controls/inventory, model documentation)
    5. Ad-hoc modeling support
    6. Actuarial valuation support (CFT, AAA, AOM prep)
    7. ALM (producing reports, analysis)
    8. Actuarial data support (data for modeling and experience studies)
    9. Emerging issues support (external stakeholders - rating agencies, regulators)
    10. Actuarial project management
  3. BU Analysis:
    1. Conduct experience studies and set actuarial assumptions
    2. GAAP earnings review (participation and explanation of results)
    3. Liability cash flow projections (model owners for budget and projections)
    4. Statutory forecasting
    5. Value of new business review
    6. Pricing oversight
    7. Support for reinsurance transactions
    8. Advisors to BU business leaders
  4. Reinsurance Operations:
    1. Reinsurance operation/data management
    2. Reinsurance settlement
    3. Reinsurer relations
    4. Reinsurance model management
  5. Product Development & Pricing:
    1. Rate setting
    2. Modeling
    3. Pricing and analytics
    4. Actuarial product governance
    5. Product support
    6. Product development process
    7. Marketing and distribution
    8. Coordinate with assumption setting

Experience: 3-7 years relevant experience

 

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data massaging), Word and Access
  • Data wrangling, analysis and reporting (Tableau or any reporting tool)
  • Analytical mindset, Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Strong quantitative skills and abilities, Statistical analysis of large data sets, understanding of Statistical terms
  • Testing and/or model validation experience
  • Business requirement document development
  • Recommends and implements process improvements
  • Data management (e.g. process, analysis, cleaning, testing)
  • Development or design of trends and analytics
  • Data Analytics tool - Excel, Excel VBA, Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL, Google Cloud
  • Reinsurance knowledge
  • Cash flow modeling, analysis, and impact analysis
  • Experience study creation and analysis
  • Programming/ macros
