Finance and Performance (F&P)

At Deloitte F&P, Global Business Services and Location Strategy team, You

  • Will have the ability to apply your experience with strategy and execution in the areas of Global Business Services across different delivery models – Shared Services, Outsourcing and Center of Excellence, including defining location strategy.
  • Will be developing strategies for clients focused on process efficiency improvements and drive cost reductions.
  • Will be assessing potential markets to identify optimal office/ manufacturing plant locations.
  • Will conduct client interviews, participate in workshops and training sessions.
  • Will identify, develop, and deploy the most relevant set of tools/techniques to meet    client requirements such as business case development, financial modeling, etc.
  • Will synthesize and analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop recommendations based on the result of the specific outputs.
  • Will develop client deliverables and documentation
  • Will participate in engagement activities including: 

o   Lead and manage intricate work threads demonstrating agility in handling unstructured content and ambiguity

o   Collaborate seamlessly with global teams, skillfully framing pertinent questions that cut through complexity

o   Develop plans and roadmaps for components of engagements

o   Coordinate diverse work threads cohesively to achieve project objectives

o   Identify and help manage changes in scope

o   Develop and maintain working relationships with client counterparts

o   Manage and mentor junior resources


The team

Deloitte’s ‘Finance & Performance (F&P) practice works as a trusted advisor to CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and key executives. We advise, implement, and deliver as-a-service solutions, help shape the evolving CFO agenda to support enterprise-wide decision-making, improve operating model and operations, and to enable our clients to drive enterprise value, create impact within their organization and thrive in a digital economy.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills, ability to work with teams, navigate steep learning curve, and demonstrate management consulting skills to be part of the CFO Enterprise Value talent group.

Required Qualifications

·       MBA, MS, CA or PhD from a leading school in India or abroad

·       3-7 years of relevant hands-on experience (post MS / MBA/ CA)

Preferred Experience

  • Strong foundation in core consulting skills such as problem-solving, strategic thinking, effective communication and robust proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience in working with/at a shared services center or global knowledge process outsourcing firms
  • Hands-on experience as any of the following:
    • Operating model transformation projects across functions (Finance, HR, IT, Procurement)
    • Shared Services Design & Build
    • Outsourcing Strategy
    • Contracting & Negotiations for Managed Services or BPO contract
    • Location Strategy
  • Fair understanding of the Global Business Service strategies to drive cost reduction and identifying efficiencies through transformation.

  • Fair understanding of defining location strategy for clients, assessing locations based on identified critical location factors, coordinating/conducting site visits and presenting recommendations to client.
  • Understanding of operating model transformations, feasibility of shared services / outsourcing and navigating through the end-to-end design and implementation journey
  • Ability to develop financial models and business cases that support the recommendation.
  • Understanding of finance processes and IT operations
  • Project management experience (either leading or supporting)
  • Ability to understand how business functions operate and how sector trends impact a client’s business.
  • Analytical and Hypothesis driven problem-solving approach, process and operations analysis, processing, and analysis of large financial and non-financial data sets.
  • Ability to map and document current state and future state processes.
  • Exposure to working in non-India Geographies (preferably the US) and/ or interacting with Global stakeholders.
