ROLE

Level: Senior Consultant

As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for designing, developing pipelines and planning the deployment of the code to various environments as part of large-scale software solutions at enterprise level. You will work with functional and technical teams on the project located across shores independently leading and mentoring junior team members, collaborating to understand the functional requirements and translate them into work products. You will be involved in end-to-end delivery of the project from estimations, planning, execution and tracking metrics for analysis. Looking for a developer role with experience with Wynsure’s Life & Health insurance sector. Develops specifications, code, debug, document, and install for moderately complex software programming applications and modifies/maintains the existing software. Develops, modifies, and maintains applications that may be customized or standardized for internal and external clients. Participates in design and coding activities with other staff members and supervisors.

The work you will do includes:

• Develops specifications, code, debug, document, and install for moderately complex software programming applications and modifies/maintains the existing software

• Techie with experience in Wynsure Product

• Part of the team that will Design and implement / operate solutions that span selection, planning, operational improvement, implementation, and the operation of core technologies that include analytics and information management, cloud migration, and underwriting services

• Enhancing or designing and developing new functionality in existing or new applications and/or modules

• Applying understanding of Wynsure's Object Oriented architecture to complete the analysis and design of significant developments

• Lead and drive discussions with business and functional analysts to understand the business requirements and the impact of integration on the overall business architecture

• Prepare technical architecture and design; help shape requirements; and resolve ambiguities

• Develop solutions following established technical design, integration application development standards and quality processes in projects

• Establish technical design/development guides, templates and standards and ensure compliance

• Run the daily calls / scrum meetings with respect to deliverables and build the weekly status reports to be reviewed with leadership

• Perform detailed reviews on deliverables and provide technical guidance to the team members

• Interact with onsite clients, coordinator / scrum master, analyst and offshore development, support team and other cross-functional teams

• Design templates or scripts to automate everyday developer or operations functions

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills / Project Experience:

Must Have:

• 6-10 years of hands-on experience as eWAM / Wynsure application developer

• Experience on functional and technical systems analysis & design, system architectural design, presentation, process interfaces design, process flow design, and system impact analysis and design documentation and presentation.

• Experience in developing applications using TDD (Test Driven Development) & Unit testing process.

• Experience in development, testing, and maintenance of programming environments and architectural standards

• Experience developing with GIT or other version control systems

• Must be an individual contributor

• Strong understanding of OOJS, design patterns

• Must have hands-on experience building apps using React, Redux, Bootstrap, CSS3, preprocessors, node JS, express JS, JEST and other react supporting libraries

• Understanding of business or technical requirements and translating to code using Wyde tools (eWAM) and language

• Ability to perform estimation of work products

• Proactive drive on improvement and innovation ideas

• Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office tools.

• Experience working on agile development teams (ideally leveraging Scrum or Kanban)

Good to Have:

• Proficient in JavaScript

• Experience in storybook, server-side scripting

• Experienced in Application OO Design

• Experience in React Automation Testing and debugging.

Education:

B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university

Prior Experience:

6 - 10 years of experience working with Wynsure product in Life & Health insurance sector

Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Gurugram, Kolkata
