ROLE
Level: Consultant
As a Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work product within due timelines in agile framework. On requirement basis consultants will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.
Capability Focus will be on Operating Model Strategy and Design, Cost Optimization, Program Management, Functional Analysis and Requirements, Product Design and Management, Business Architecture.
The work you will do includes:
• Perform primary/secondary research, analyze structured and unstructured data, draw conclusions, and support development of strategic insights or scenario specific business cases and financial models for the client based on quantitative and qualitative research
• Perform strategic and operating model analysis for clients to solve for existing problems or prepare for the upcoming business and technology trends in the market
• Own and manage specific work threads of a larger consulting engagement; participate in interviews, workshops, training sessions, and support team and client through the project
• Facilitate project management activities including project status updates, business metrics & KPI development
• Gain domain knowledge, and contribute to developing “thought ware” and “point-of-view” documents, and tools / methodologies specific to your industry domain
• Assist in Proposal Development and Orals
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills / Project Experience: Experience working in core life sciences or contract research / manufacturing organizations in the R&D, regulatory affairs, quality, manufacturing or IT domains, with understanding of systems, data domains and business processes.
Must Have:
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience working in Consulting/ Corporate Strategy/ Business function in the following industry domain – Life Sciences
• Analytical and hypothesis driven problem-solving approach, process and operations analysis, processing and analysis of large financial and non-financial data sets
• Experience in business analysis, identifying business requirements from diverse stakeholders, understanding user journeys and functional processes
• Experience in analyzing market landscape (Industry trends, risk, regulatory, competition analysis) using primary and secondary sources of data to derive insights for the client
• Experience in leading work threads independently, reporting and owing end-to-end deliverables
• Clear and concise communication: strong written and verbal communication skills – participate in client interviews, workshops/training and present recommendations
• Core Consulting skills like good executive presence, analytical thinking, logical structuring, and team dynamics
• Knowledge of US Life Sciences landscape – R&D, risk, manufacturing, regulatory, market dynamics and current trends
• Exposure to working in non-India geographies (preferably the US) and / or interacting with global stakeholders
Good to Have:
• Exposure to life-sciences focused solutions (e.g., Veeva Vault, CTMS, RIM, LIMS, EDC etc.)
• Exposure to emerging technologies and its application in solving business problems (e.g., GenAI, digital transformation, etc.)
• Experience working with agile methodologies, delivery models and tools
• Experience in working with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Minitab, PowerBI, Tableau etc.)
• Willingness to travel internationally (primarily US) based on project needs
Education:
MBA or equivalent from a premier school in India or abroad or post-graduation specializing in Biological Sciences or Life sciences (e.g., Biomedical engineering, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology etc.)
Prior Experience:
1-3 years of experience of working with Top tier management / strategy consulting firms or Corporate Strategy, internal consulting, or business function roles in leading global / Indian life sciences organizations
