CORE BUSINESS OPERATIONS 

The Core Business Operations (CBO) portfolio is an integrated set of offerings that addresses our clients’ heart-of-the-business issues. This portfolio combines our functional and technical capabilities to help clients transform, modernize, and run their existing technology platforms across industries. ROLE

Level: Consultant 

As a Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines in an agile framework. Need-basis consultants will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.   
You will also be responsible for the ownership of tasks assigned through SNOW, Dashboard, Order forms etc. 

The work you will do includes:
  • Hands-on experience in deploying and managing RedHat & other flavors of Linux servers on Virtual, Cloud and Physical Environment 
  • Build and operate automations using ansible, Bash, and Python scripting. 
  • Good knowledge patching using RedHat Satellite and performing upgrades to RedHat Satellite server. 
  • Strongs fundamental knowledge on Linux Operating System (Systemd, DNS, LVM, SSSD, REALM, GRUB ..etc.,) 
  • Good knowledge on Containerization & Cloud technologies like docker, Kubernetes & AWS/Azure/GCP respectively 
  • Good knowledge and working on change/Incident management procedures and Service Desk tools like Service-Now. 
  • Develop understanding of and implement shared responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills / Project Experience:  

Must Have: 
  • 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience in RedHat 6/7/8, CentOS 8 
  • Hands-on experience in maintaining servers deployed globally both on-prem and Cloud. 
  • Experience in managing Data Center components. 
  • Experience on configuration management tools like ansible 
  • Experience on ITSM/ITIL best practices 
  • Experience in Automating Day to Day repetitive tasks 
  • RedHat Certification is a plus. 
  • Any cloud certification is a plus. 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Flexibility to adapt and apply innovation to varied business domain and apply technical solutioning and learnings to use cases across business domains and industries  
  • Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office tools   
Good to Have:  
  • Understanding of Application/DB and other infrastructure monitoring tools 
  • Understanding of end-to-end infrastructure landscape 
  • Experience on VMware virtualization platform 

Education:   
B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university     

Prior Experience:   
4 – 6 years of experience working with Linux Servers deployed on Virtual, Cloud and Physical environments
