Cloud Solution Architect

As a Cloud Solution Architect you will lead technical teams to deliver cutting edge solutions on cloud platforms for some of our Fortune 1000 clients. You will have the opportunity to contribute to work that may involve building new cloud solutions, migrating an application to co-exist in the hybrid cloud, deploying a global cloud application across multiple countries or providing design guidance /POC for our managed services team for continuous optimization. Our teams of technologists have a diverse range of skills and we are always looking for new ways to innovate and help our clients succeed.

Work you’ll do

Cloud Solution Architect at Deloitte will be responsible for designing, developing and cloud software applications for enterprise clients, from the technological evaluation stage through final production delivery and installation. You will further support proposal development and other pursuit activities. Some of the key areas where cloud solution architect will be involved are mentioned below.

Participate and drive scoping and technical requirements gathering sessions for customer’s cloud program

Provide expert advice on cloud native and micro services based application solutions design, development, and resolution of technical issues.

Provide expert advice on Security, Management, Storage, Networking, IaaC and configuration management on AWS using third party tools (such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet etc.)

Assist application development teams with cloud environment sizing, design of disaster recovery capabilities to meet the application needs.

Design and implement infrastructure environment provisioning, PaaS and / or entire application stack provisioning on cloud platforms

Assist application development teams and client executives with management and governance of cloud capability usage and support optimizing the consumption

Support development and implementation of cloud management dashboards to enable monitoring and governance of cloud platforms

Provide architecture blueprint and proof of concepts for migration of existing application to cloud environment.

Provide architecture and proof of concepts for migration exiting application to cloud environment

Support proposal development and other pursuit activities.

Build meaningful relationship with clients

Publish whitepapers / point of views and act as an evangelist to the Deloitte brand

Work both independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment based on the project requirements

It comprises of a next-generation secure cloud-hosting platform, high quality architectural design, development, migration, deployment and managed services delivered to clients across all industries and geographies. Qualifications and Experience

Required:

8+ years of industry experience

Minimum 6+ years in solution or technical architect role using service and hosting solutions such as public/private cloud SaaS PaaS and IaaS platforms.

At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud native architecture design, implementation of distributed, fault tolerant enterprise applications for cloud.

Experience in application migration and modernization of legacy applications to AWS/Azure cloud platforms

Deep domain expertise of cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e. Windows and Linux IaaS, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, containers and Infra as a code technologies.

Strong experience in enterprise apps on AWS/Azure cloud environments using EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, CloudWatch, KMS, VPC Peering, VPC End Point, Auto Scaling, SNS, Lambda, Fargate, EBS, API Management, Azure BCDR, open source on Azure, HPC etc.

Designing and provisioning computing web services (Amazon EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, CloudFront)

Experience in DevOps tool chain together with Jenkins /Puppet / Chef, Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Foundry, Spinnaker, Azure for DevOps, Ansible, etc.

Understanding of BigData (Batch and Stream) processing technology – Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Kafka, JMS.

Extensive experience designing and working with container-based applications on EKS or ECS.

Preferred Experience

Full-stack experience including web (Java/.Net/Angular), UI/UX, Data, Data Format, Database Design and Cloud hosting.

Experience in designing hybrid application architecture and multi-cloud application architecture

Strong understanding of PaaS platforms and Microservices architecture

Prior involvement in preparation of technical strategy and approach documents

Can independently provide proof of concepts, analysis of alternatives, and brief their results to client stakeholders

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Strong communicator

Candidates with solution architect certification on any cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) will be preferred
