MS Azure Cloud Consultant
As an Azure Data Consultant, you will work with technical teams and projects to deliver cutting edge solutions on cloud platforms for some of our Fortune 1000 clients. You will have the opportunity to contribute to work that may involve building new cloud solutions, migrating an application to co-exist in the hybrid cloud, deploying a global cloud application across multiple countries. Work you’ll do
- Implement solutions using Azure PaaS services like (but not limited to) ADF, SQL DB/ DWH, Synapse, ADLS, ADLA, HDInsight / Data Bricks, AAS, Power BI
- Work closely with the engineering team to implement solutions to cloud and data services requirements
- Conducting assessments of an organization's existing infrastructure, applications, and business needs to formulate a cloud adoption strategy.
- Implement CI/CD based application development methodology using tools like Jenkins/TFS/power shell etc.
- Implementing best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and identify performance, connectivity and other issues for the applications hosted in Azure platform.
- Configure large database solutions in Azure using SQL Server or Azure SQL DB
- Manage data synchronization with source data
- Implementing governance frameworks and policies to ensure efficient resource management.
- Assessing and implementing security measures to protect data and applications in Azure.
- Produce high-quality code resulting from knowledge of the latest frameworks, code peer review, and automated unit test scripts
- Collaborate with other developers and team members
- Participate in product design meetings, daily standups, backlog grooming
- Develop and document unit tests
- Document all processes and procedures in assigned areas of responsibility
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Participate on a Scrum team, including all Agile and Scrum related activities
Qualifications
Microsoft Azure Platform (Required):
3-5 years of experience in implementation, maintenance and/or support of highly distributed applications on Microsoft Azure Data platform
2+ years of experience with Azure SQL/ DWH / Synapse and stored procedures
Develop Azure Data Factory Objects – ADF pipeline, configuration, parameters, variables, Integration services runtime (part of Data Factory).
Experience in Big Data components such as Spark SQL, HIVE DB etc implemented using Azure Big Data platform like Data Bricks would be preferred.
Experience working with data toolsets, including data warehouse, data marts, data lake, 3NF, and dimensional models, modeling tools, and profiling tools
High level understanding of Azure Environment and Portal on the following services:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Storage Services – Blob/ ADLS
- Azure Application Insights and Azure Log Analytics
- Database Services - Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL DB or Azure SQLDW / Synapse
- Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Event Hubs and Stream Analytics
- Data Bricks
- Azure Analysis Services and Power BI
- PowerShell Scripting
Microsoft Azure Platform (Desirable)
- Hands on experience in developing solutions on Azure Analysis Services (AAS) and Power BI reporting platforms
- Hands-on experience with Tools for system management, monitoring, automation, and agile development
- Experience with Microsoft platform/development technologies: .NET, SQL Server, Azure and related tools is a plus.
- Experience with SDLC methodologies and design/architecture aspects of project delivery.
- Experience in automating infrastructure, testing, and deployments in Cloud with tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, code repo & version control, CI/CD Tools (Ex Git, jenkins etc.)
