The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Change Agent Leader to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of our USI-based brand, marketing, communications, creative, and operations teams. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for mobilizing data-driven and insight-led talent, who are committed to continuous optimization through tech-enabled ways of working. This role emphasizes fostering highly collaborative, smart, creative, self-directed, and joyful teamwork across our USI, US, and other geography-based Marketing Excellence professionals, all focused on delivering dynamic and business-building outcomes for Deloitte’s US market.
The USI Marketing Excellence (ME) Leader will oversee Deloitte’s USI-based marketing professionals, focusing on executing campaigns and developing world-class talent. The incumbent will lead a team of USI-based ME Center of Excellence Leaders in the strategy, development, execution, operations, oversight, and management of marketing initiatives as defined by Deloitte’s CMO and Business Chief Marketing Officers (BCMOs). This role involves providing strategic insights and collaborating with colleagues across the US ME organization, the USI ME organization, and in other geographies to create and continually optimize agile, tech-forward, and differentiating marketing actions that deliver results. The ME Leader will report to and be a member of the leadership teams of the USI-based Clients and Markets Growth Leader and the US Marketing Excellence Leader.
Work you will do:
• Lead the ME-COE Leaders in the strategic planning, management, development, delivery and impact measurement of motions and campaigns in coordination and integration with Deloitte’s CMO, BCMO teams, business-aligned marketing pods and their extended US based colleagues to create highly integrated and effective marketing strategies, execution plans and measurement
• Impart knowledge and expertise to the ME COE leaders and their teams that drives change – i.e., an outside in and modernized way of thinking – spurring dynamic and sustained marketing effectiveness
• Provide input, direction and strategy related to key aspects of modernized marketing processes including organizational management, technology, tools, asset development, asset management and operations
• Develop and foster an Agency of Record relationship with USI Deloitte Digital and other internal marketing teams as an alternative to external agencies to continue to maintain Deloitte’s position at the forefront of marketing innovation and creative execution
• Accountable for the administrative, talent, operational and budgetary components of USI ME team
• Foster a result driven culture that uses agile ways of working and embraces innovation, collaboration, creativity, in addition to continuous improvement and business management principles
Requisite competencies:
• Deep experience in building, leading and developing a team in internal and external brand/marketing/creative agency environment (Prior experience leading large multi-disciplined teams virtually and within a matrixed organization preferably for a global corporation or professional services firm or a brand/marketing/creative agency - B2B experience a plus)
• Expertise in developing the disciplines of teams focused on brand strategy, marketing insights, creative origination and development, omnichannel experience, content strategy, and marketing effectiveness measurement.
• Strong collaboration, creativity, communication, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Enjoys working as a team to solve problems and has a bias toward action.
• Strong background in Agile methodologies and their implementation in marketing environments.
• Executive presence, professional client service manner, demonstrated ability to take initiative.
• Strong persuasive skills; able to gain consensus through influence
• Stays current with thought leadership across all ME disciplines including trends, technology, and competitive strategies, translating that knowledge into new ideas
• Understanding of marketing technology stacks, data-analytics and how to leverage these for highest value and scale
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills; flexibility and adaptability
• Demonstrated success in technology implementation to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and sustain a multitude of functional and stakeholder relationships

• Written and oral communications skills necessary to work across numerous organizational units and layers, as well as for reporting to management.

Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing
• Academic qualification: Master’s Degree like MBA (Marketing/Brand & Communications)
• 20+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on marketing strategy, planning
• Strong track record with previous employment, preferably with an agency (can be in-house)
• Location: Hyderabad
• Work hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (expected be flexible to work with US-based stakeholders)
• Note: We work in Hybrid with 3 days in office expectation
