Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) Assistant Manager - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

The ITS Operations function is accountable for the delivery of all Internal Technology Infrastructure supprot – including Cloud Operations, Messaging & Voice (Email, Skype,Zoom), Enterprise (IT) Security Ops Services, NOC, IAM, File Services. It also provides technology that supports the service lines in delivering client facing or client engagements as part of its Client IT services

Work you’ll do

As a cloud financial operations Assistant Manager, you will be engaged in exciting and varied work streams. You will be involved in cost optimization for accounts/subscriptions, working closely with member firms and FinOps administrative tasks within AWS & Azure space for North South Europe region.  You will work alongside people with a diverse range of skillsets, helping to innovate solutions using the full range of cloud services available. You will be responsible for line management of one FinOps Analyst. You will work closely with the Head of Cloud Business Office and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of cloud resources.

Responsibilities

Working within a diverse team across multiple geographies and collaborating with Amazon & Microsoft, you will be involved in a variety of tasks ranging from cloud cost optimization techniques, financial reporting, engaging with multiple teams & resolving ServiceNow FinOps tickets. We are looking for a talented cloud FinOps Assistant Manager to join us on our journey as we deliver and expand our service across North and South Europe.

Essential requirements 

·       Delivering FinOps advice to NSE cloud practitioners and identifying solutions to their opportunities and issues.

·       Public Cloud and infrastructure cost management technologies and tools (e.g. Cloud Service Provider native cost management solutions, VMware CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, CloudChekr, AWS Cost Explorer etc.)

·       Provide insights into customer accounts and subscriptions on usage; provide optimization recommendations based on present and future planned cloud usage patterns.

·       Data analysis for preparing management reporting using tools such as PowerBI, PowerPoint, Excel.

·       Continually improve your understanding of FinOps technologies and vendors

·       Respond to financial advisory requests in line with service level agreements.

·       Liaise with multiple stakeholders (across NSE IT teams, finance, business functions, engineering & engagement team) and proactively identify opportunities for service improvement.

·       Provide effective support to evolve and improve financial operations within NSE cloud with automation.

Desirable Experience

  • Technical knowledge and administrator experience of AWS and its services (e.g., Console Access, Trusted Advisor, Cost Explorer, Compute Optimizer, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans)
  • Technical knowledge and administrator experience of Azure and its services (e.g., Portal Access, Azure Advisor, Cost Management and Billing, Reserved Instances).
  • Background in Finance preferred - working knowledge of core IT finance topics (e.g. budgeting, forecasting, total cost of ownership, cost allocation, depreciation and amortisation, discounted cash flow forecast)
  • Must be able to operate independently and in a team oriented collaborative environment.
  • Understanding of cloud providers, platforms and configurations and familiarity with workload usage/consumption patterns on cloud.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Strong data analytics skills using BI platforms such as PowerBI.
  • Achieved or working towards FinOps Foundation Certified Practitioner
  • Achieved or working towards certifications with established Cloud technologies e.g. (AWS Solutions Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals AZ-900)
  • Familiarity with common IT Service Management tools e.g. ServiceNow
  • Experience of managing and leading a small team

Work shift Timings: 1 PM to 10 PM OR 2 PM to 11 PM

Qualifications

·       Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology

·       5+ years’ experience in a similar role and Enterprise organisation.
