Analyst – Common Front Door-  Information Security/ UK ITS

Work you’ll do.

As an Information Security Analyst your duties would involve working with internal partners to deliver assessments against a broad range of services. Duties include:

  • Establishing and maintaining first line advice and guidance material e.g., frequently asked questions (FAQ’s) and knowledge articles. 
  • Provide first line advice and guidance to our customers, and support Ad-HOC requests to support the business to meet its objectives.
  • Triage and coordinate of all new requestion item tickets for allocation to relevant function and service areas.
  • Support Cyber Security functions in developing and maintaining workflows within service management tooling (ServiceNow). 
  • Provision of information security approvals within CISO risk appetite. 
  • Oversee maintenance of service catalogues and service-related documentation.  
  • Delivering and maintaining documentation repository, overseeing the quality management system (QMS), including conducting regular audits, reviews and follow up activity.
  • Create and oversee implementation of related metrics and reporting as directed.

Education and Experience:

Essentials

  • Degree in IT / computer science or information security or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in an information security related role.
  • Very strong written and verbal skills.
  • Experience of Information Security Management Systems and ISO 9001 based quality management systems
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience in delivering service management techniques and tooling such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of security awareness material.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of security policy frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management methodologies and risk analysis.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain service level processes, workflows, and procedures.

Desirables

  • Desire to achieve at least one security industry certification (e.g. CISM, CRISC, CISA, CISSP)
  • ITILv4 Foundation
  • Have a knowledge and understanding of various Information Assurance Frameworks, Cryptographic Assurance, Product and Service Assurance and Vulnerability and Penetration Testing
