Senior Analyst – Data & Reporting – The Reporting Hub – Deloitte Support Services India Pvt. Ltd.

The Organization

Central Business Services (CBS) is part of the Enabling Functions (EF) service line supporting the whole of Deloitte UK.  It provides services to the UK Firm including HR, Quality, IT, Sourcing and Service Management. 

The Reporting Hub sits within the Service Management capability of CBS and was created through consolidating smaller reporting teams across the UK and India into a single entity to create resilience, knowledge and economies of processing.  It provides Reporting Services to CBS including:

  • DEVELOP – Report development using standard tools including Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Tableau and ServiceNow.
  • RUN Processing – Data extraction, processing and distribution.
  • ANALYSE – Providing a deeper understanding of the data.  In time this will become an analytics function as The Reporting Hub grows.

The role will:

·       The Senior Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the team acting with others to ensure data is processed on time using a variety of different technologies and methods.  The delivery of the data to the Business is paramount to the success of the wider Reporting Hub Team.

·       The role requires a high degree of engagement with the enabling service areas, effective teamwork, and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.  This in turn will allow The Reporting Hub to recommend improvements to existing data and reporting methods in terms of time to execute and Customer Satisfaction.

Work you’ll do

 

Stakeholder Engagement

·       Establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders within the Business.

Data Privacy and Security

·       Handle all data in line with agreed Data Privacy processes both physically and virtually.

Development

  • Act as part of a multidisciplinary team either leading or participating in operational deliverables.
  • Analyse issues & problems with the Business and document clear solution requirements for Client signoff.
  • Develop reports and dashboards in-line with standard development methodologies.
  • Test and Quality Assure work in line with agreed standards.
  • Deploy solutions in line with agreed governance procedures.

Support

  • Identification and timely escalation of issues.
  • Ensuring all issues have appropriate remedial / mitigations in place to maintain successful operations.
  • Supporting in the oversight and monitoring of key issues and providing key metrics.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education:
    • Degree in business / engineering / math with a focus in quantitative methods and/or equivalent working experience in the data, reporting & analytics space
       
  • Interpersonal Skills:

o   Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

    • Strong numerical and analytical skills
    • Ability to use initiative and to work effectively under pressure, in the face of conflicting and/or short deadlines.
    • Ability to focus on the end goal and quickly adapt to changing business priorities.

o   Build relationships, share new ideas.

    • Attention to detail with an ability to take ownership, make decisions, and execute them.
    • Excellent team player with experience working in virtual teams.
  •  
  • Professional Experience:
    • Proven expertise of working with data, highly numerate and able to understand the value that MI and analytics can deliver.
    • 5+ years’ experience to create compelling data visualization and reports in Power BI which provide insights to help drive business decisions.
    •  Hands on experience in DAX and M Query.
    • 4+ Years of working experience in MS Sql Server (2012/2016/2019) including use of analyzing and debugging tools, query optimization, transaction handling, stored procedure, function, triggers, and Views.
    • Experience working in multiple data sources using Power BI including scheduling management.
    • Improving and optimizing the performance of the reports and the refresh time of data loads
    • Implement row level security and data governance policies for Power BI Solutions.
    • Experience of handling at least 2 complete Power BI Projects
    • Experience in working with data to apply a more scientific approach to business operations.
    • Demonstrated ability to apply technology in solving business problems and interpreting MI to a variety of audiences.
