Position Summary

CORE BUSINESS OPERATIONS

The Core Business Operations (CBO) portfolio is an integrated set of offerings that addresses our clients’ heart-of-the-business issues. ROLE

Level: Consultant

As an Analyst or Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines in an agile framework. Need-basis consultants will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements. 

You will also be responsible for the ownership of tasks assigned through SNOW, Dashboard, Order forms etc.

The work you will do includes:

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and design VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) solutions, focusing on infrastructure deployment, configuration, and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with team, vendors clients determine strategy and plan for complex system implementations and upgrades and design VCF solutions that align with their goals.
  • Utilize hands-on experience with VMware solutions and tools, including VMware vSphere 6.x and 7.x, Site Recovery Manager (SRM), vRealize, and vCloud Foundation.
  • Hands-on implementation of VCF, including hardware, servers, and virtual machines, using vSphere and other VMware technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve live production issues efficiently, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for design decisions, implementation plans, and support processes.
  • Develop policies and procedures to manage technologies based on 'best practice' standards.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate routine tasks, improving operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Participate in on-call support, addressing live production issues on a rotational basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills / Project Experience:

Must-Have Skills:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in implementing, designing, and supporting VMware services on cloud, must include vSphere with vSAN/NSX-T, SDDC manager.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure design, installation, and configuration using vSphere and other VMware technologies.
  • Experience with hardware management (HP/DELL/LENOVO/IBM/CISCO), FlexSwitch, Fabric Interconnect configuration, and SAN storage.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to efficiently resolve live production issues.
  • Hands-on experience with vCenter 6.0, 6.5, 6.7, 7.0, and ESXi Hypervisor 6.0, 6.5, 6.7, 7.0.
  • Knowledge of scripting tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Good understanding of related storage technologies e.g., SAN and vSAN
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and virtual networking
  • Ability to operate across multiple projects concurrently and assume the responsibility for the appropriate technical and architectural implementation of projects strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with VCF updates, releases, and application patches.
  • Understanding of end-to-end infrastructure landscape and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with specific technologies related to on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Good understanding of related virtual networking technologies supporting Overlay networking eg. NSX-V, NSX-T

Education:

·        B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.

Prior Experience:

·       4+ years of hands-on experience in implementing, designing, and supporting VMware Cloud Foundation solutions.
