Agile software consultant - Full time
The Delivery Excellence organization’s agile solutions team is seeking a consultant to support off-the-shelf (OTS) software solution – Micro Focus’ ALM Octane (Octane).
You must be a consultant with experience in supporting the day-to-day operations of an enterprise tool. To be successful in this role, you must possess a functional understanding of agile and testing methods as well as a technical aptitude to dig deep into troubleshooting issues and building supplemental solutions where the OTS software solution is not sufficient for Deloitte Consulting project teams.
Work you’ll do
• Support usage of Octane for project teams within the context of leading practices for agile projects
• Build solutions to improve end-user and/or internal processes
• Daily operations include:
o Supporting escalated/ complex end user inquiries/issues
o Collaborating with vendor and/or server administrator to resolve issues
o Demonstrating software and/or delivering training
o Updating solution materials based on support analysis and/or feedback
• Quarterly operations include:
o New software functionality assessments and authoring/updating test cases and test scenarios
• Annual operations include:
o Market research of leading agile tools
o Operational assessment of team’s processes and reflection, recommendation, and implementation around areas for improvement
o Software upgrades including:
? Working closely with server administrators to resolve issues
? Executing functional test cycles and resulting defect triage and resolution
? Escalating critical issues appropriately
? Updating solution materials with latest software updates
? Supporting deployment activities

QualificationsRequired:
• Experience with enterprise software/solution support
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Organizes information and conducts analysis to clarify the problem and its root causes
• Functional understanding of agile methodology including testing
• Technical aptitude to dig deep into troubleshooting issues and building supplemental solutions where the OTS software solution is not sufficient for Deloitte project teams
• Good understanding of database architecture, data/table relationships, and to develop SQL queries, troubleshoot and resolve software issues, generate metrics, and other make necessary analysis.
• Ability to build utilities/accelerators or provide solutions to automate any recurring activities
• Experience writing requirements and authoring, planning, and executing testing
• Ability to provide actionable feedback, support, and mentorship to junior team members
• Experience working in a virtual environment, including working with onshore / US-based team members
Preferred:
• A functional understanding of DevOps processes
• Experience setting up and supporting software integration
• Good to have experience in .Net or any coding languages
• Good to have experience in Tableau
