Consultant / Senior Consultant – Finance Strategy & Transformation

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong management consulting skills to be part of the Strategy & Transformation talent group who can work towards attaining profitable growth, strategically managing and navigating risks.

Deloitte’s ‘Finance & Enterprise Performance (F&EP)’ practice works as a trusted advisor to CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and key executives. We advise, implement, and deliver as-a-service solutions, helping our clients develop strategies and capabilities to support enterprise-wide decision-making, improve finance operations, and create impact within their organization.


Work you will do: 

As a team member of F&EP you will help client Executive’s elevate their role through innovative strategies, planning and tactical execution. You will have the ability to apply and develop your experience in the areas of strategy and execution in the areas of Finance strategy, Global Business Services, Business Partnering, Finance Service Delivery Model, Finance Process Improvement, Captive setup and Outsourcing. Your key responsibilities as a member of the project team will be to:

  • Conduct client interviews, participate in workshops and training sessions, and present recommendations to client stakeholders
  • Develop client deliverables and documentation: 
    • Identify, develop and deploy the most relevant set of tools/techniques to meet    client requirements such as business case development, financial modeling and analysis, etc.
    • Analyze and interpret project data, draw conclusions and develop recommendations based on the result of the specific outputs
    • Use analytics to build strategic insights for the client
    • Synthesize and present insights and recommendations
    • Strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of result
  • Participate in engagement activities including:
    • Own and manage specific work threads
    • Develop plans and roadmaps for components of engagements
    • Coordinate activities between different work threads
    • Identify and help manage changes in scope
    • Manage and mentor junior resources
    • Develop and maintain working relationships with client counterparts

Required Experience

  • Hands-on experience as any of the following:
    • CFO organizations at leading multinationals
    • Operating model transformation projects across functions
    • Strategy definition and execution of large-scale technology transformation projects
    • Process reengineering and redesign  
  • Fair understanding of the finance processes and strategies to drive improvements in areas of Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Financial Planning & Analysis, etc.
  •  Analytical and Hypothesis driven problem-solving approach, process and operations analysis, processing, and analysis of large financial and non-financial data sets
  • Ability to map and document current state and future state processes
  • Exposure to working in non-India Geographies (preferably the US) and / or interacting with Global stakeholders
  • Understanding of financial applications/tools such as Oracle, Hyperion, SAP, Anaplan, etc. is preferable and latest digital technologies such as Robotic Automation, Blockchain, Cognitive, Predictive Analytics etc. and their applications in finance
  • Understanding of operating model transformations, feasibility of shared services / outsourcing enabling processes and navigating through the end-to-end design and implementation journey
  • Project management experience (either leading or supporting)
  • Ability to understand how business functions operate and how sector trends impact a client’s business

Required Qualifications

  • MBA, MS, CA or PhD from a leading school in India or abroad
  • 2-7 years of relevant hands-on experience (post MS / MBA/ CA)
