The Team
Deloitte's Global Employer Services (GES) practice based in London provides practical and creative solutions to clients. The GES practice is made up of several specialist groups, including Payroll Service delivery (PSD) team. This entails collating Payroll data from various predefined sources, preparing payroll instructions and providing these to the client’s payroll provide. On completion of the payroll processing, Deloitte will complete reconciliation checks and then produce management information reports to the clients. PSD services are delivered to agreed timetables under client Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The payroll team also supports new client implementations and the set-up of the payroll technology platform to facilitate the delivery of BAU services.
Qualifications Required:
Degree - BCom / BBA / BBM.
Preferred: Masters in Human Resources, International Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics, with German Language.
Work experience 5-8 Years overall.
Requirements:
• Identification and delivery of continuous process improvement and best practice.
• Assist team members in management of team workload, including client allocations and ensuring resources are appropriately allocated to client accounts.
• Perform and Review of client work deliverables to the German team.
• Assist team members in maintaining oversight of and managing work being sent to Hyderabad from Germany, including escalating issues to German leadership, as necessary.
• Identify day-to-day issues, including escalation where required.
• Training team members on process/technical matters.
Skills Required:
• Experience in end-to-end payroll with country specific strong legislation knowledge.
• Working knowledge of MS Applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Good knowledge of MS Excel is must. Knowledge of VBA is an added advantage.
• The delivery of the service offering is underpinned by Deloitte’s GCM Payroll solutions and candidates must be experienced in operating in a technology focused environment.
• Solid analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a complex deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to multi-task various client responsibilities.
• Development of process maps and manuals to be used for client BAU monthly processing.
• Good research skills.
Role Description:
We are currently looking for individuals with Expertise in the German payroll, Employee Tax and Benefits process experience. Along with Payroll, the individual should an auditing skill, problem solving skills, payroll system knowledge. The successful candidate should have 5-8 years of experience in end-to-end German Payroll. The role combines proficiency in payroll processing with strong interpersonal skills to deliver top- notch client services. Add on this individual must have an experience in handling client or stake holder and should have experience in managing team. German language is an add on advantage.
Responsibilities:
• Payroll Processing- Handle end-to-end German payroll processing for multiple clients. Ensure accuracy in processing payroll data, including overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
• Compliance-Stay updated with German payroll legislation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Address any payroll-related compliance issues and implement necessary changes.
• Client Communication- Interact with clients to gather payroll-related information and address queries. Provide live support through various channels (chat, phone, email) to resolve client issues promptly.
• Data Management-Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and payroll data. ◦ Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity.
• Reports and Analysis-Generate payroll reports for management and clients as required. Analyze payroll data to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Problem Resolution- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with internal teams to address any payroll-related challenges.
• Live Support - Provide real-time assistance to clients through live support channels. Ensure Stakeholder satisfaction by addressing queries and concerns promptly.
