About the Central Pricing Team within the Operate Pursuit Centre of Excellence (PCoE)
The Central Pricing Team (CPT) is a dynamic team dedicated to driving pricing excellence and consistency across the Tax and Legal Operate service line. As a centralised hub of pricing expertise, the CEC provides dedicated support and resources for all pricing-related activities, including data management, benchmarking analysis, and the development of a standardised pricing process and rate capture mechanisms. By centralising these functions, the CPT promotes efficiency, transparency, and data-driven decision-making in pricing, ultimately contributing to overall business growth.
Job Description
The Pricing Analyst / Consultant plays a pivotal role in supporting the CPT’s mission by utilising their strong data analytics skills to drive the development and execution of robust pricing strategies and coordinate pricing for high-value, strategic deals. This role involves close collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure competitive and data-driven pricing, maximise deal value, and maintain alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough pricing analysis, leveraging large datasets, historical ranges, and industry benchmarks to identify trends and opportunities for optimisation.
- Develop and maintain complex pricing models using relevant software and technology, ensuring accuracy and version control to support data-driven pricing decisions.
- Accurately input, manage, and analyse finalised pricing data into the master pricing repository, maintaining data integrity and supporting robust reporting for stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive and accurate pricing schedules and pricing capture forms, ensuring clarity for both internal and client-facing purposes, informed by data analysis.
- Collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to manage pricing requests, ensuring timely responses and alignment on data-driven pricing strategies.
- Facilitate scoping discussions and assumption clarifications in partnership with the Pursuit Team and Service Leads, promoting shared understanding and mitigating potential risks, utilising data insights.
- Complete client-facing pricing schedules and internal Deloitte Master schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols, grounded in robust data analysis.
- Leverage benchmarking insights to propose specific line items for potential escalation, contributing to the development of competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
- Support Deal Review Boards and pricing reviews, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.

Required
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to influence decision-making.
- Advanced data analytics skills, with the ability to interpret and analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to inform key strategic decisions.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively multitask, prioritise competing demands, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- A strategic, commercially-oriented thinker with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in using PowerPoint and Excel
Desirable
- Proven experience in a data-driven pricing or commercial role, showcasing expertise in data analysis and its application to pricing strategies.
- Extensive experience developing and leveraging a wide range of pricing constructs and delivery models, adapting strategies to diverse client needs and market dynamics, supported by data analysis.
- Experience driving commercial activities throughout the entire deal lifecycle, from pursuit and proposal to delivery and contracting.
