The Team

Cyber & Strategic Risk

We help organizations create a cyber- minded culture, reimagine risk to uncover strategic opportunities, and become faster, more innovative, and more resilient in the face of ever- changing threats. We provide intelligence and acuity that dynamically reframes risk, transcending a manual, reactive paradigm.
Cyber Risk Services (CRS) group is part of the wider Technology Risk Service line within Advisory practice in Deloitte. We help “Fortune 500” clients solve business issues related to risk management, cyber threats, privacy, governance, business resilience & process improvements. Deloitte’s Cyber Strategy and Governance practice is focused on helping our clients to design and implement transformational programs to reduce and manage cyber threats. We help our clients to define their overall cyber strategy, design global, pan-enterprise programs that focus on mitigating threats, evaluate their objectives, priorities, strengths and weaknesses and roll out large scale organizational changes to achieve goals.

Work you’ll do

Key responsibilities will be to: -
  • Design, deploy and manage technology and process solutions to reduce the potential of data compromise
  • Develop technical requirements, evaluate vendor solutions, develop architecture & design, and test data protection and data security solutions
  • Advise clients in understanding the future state problems and challenges in cyber security and work collaboratively with them to enhance capabilities
  • Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership in client organizations and external marketplace
  • Operate as a technical subject matter specialist

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • B.E. / B. Tech / MBA
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing technology and process solutions to reduce the potential risk of data compromise
  • Understanding of the entire ecosystem of data protection including well-rounded understanding of the information security domains and their inter-relations across that ecosystem
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience required on Data Protection technologies
  • Strong domain expertise, implementation and/or integration skills in two to four or more (depending on years of experience) of following areas:
  1. Data classification and inventory programs including the use of data discovery tools
  2. Must have Varonis or Netskope
  3. Data access governance
  4. Cloud Access Security Broker
  5. Securing credential repositories and authentication services
  6. Systems administration experience with various operating systems such as Windows Server, Unix, and Linux
  7. DBA experience with database technologies such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL
  • Understanding of key industry and regulatory requirements such as PCI, HIPAA, NIST Cyber Security Framework, NERC, or FFIEC requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and address internal and external client needs, including:
  1. Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  2. Working collaboratively with clients to design and implement process and technology solutions
  3. Able to build solid, trust - based relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred:
  • CISSP, or equivalent certification desired
  • Technical skills including scripting - Python/JAVA/ASP/C#, Coding frameworks
  • Data protection product certifications
  • Previous experience with cyber incident response
