Analyst- Master Data Management, USI GFS, Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited
Role Description:
The analyst will support the Master Data Management team which is responsible to create & maintain customer master, vendor master and finance master (Profit Center/Cost Center/ General Ledger) related activities within the firm systems by correctly analyzing the reference materials and taking an informed decision. It is a critical competency within the GFS organization and requires logical thinking and eye for details.
Role objective:
To support the creation and maintenance of the customer master, vendor master and finance master records within the firm systems.
Work you will do
As an Analyst in USI supporting GFS-MDM team, you will focus on following areas:
1. Performing extensive searches using online databases, the Internet, print materials, technical reports, scholarly journal articles, and original source material
2. Creation and maintenance of Profit Center, Cost Center and Chart of Accounts.
3. Creation and maintenance of vendor records in the firm system.
4. Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and code them, initiate approval prior to payment
5. Process PO and Non-PO invoices and clear workflow exceptions
6. Making logical associations across multiple research and workflow processes in order to reduce the amount of time required to attain proficiency with similar assigned duties
7. Responsible for performing due diligence while approving the creation and changes of customer master records within the firm systems.
8. Analyzing and respond to research requests in a rapid and accurate manner
9. Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the client population and attributes
10. Detailed understanding of client attributes assignment data and the flow of information through Firm systems (SWIFT, SAP Etc.)
11. Performing operational / transactional level activities by gathering external validation using D&B, Hoovers, and OneSource through third party vendors
12. Achieving targets and defined SLAs within specified timelines and timely updating of internal trackers
The Master Data Management team is responsible for the governance of master data on a global level, ensuring
the integrity and consistency of definitions and usage across member firms and GFS processes. Master Data Management team members participate in and guide the on-going qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis of various research initiatives. Team members employ an array of analysis techniques and frameworks to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and consistency of key attributes, taxonomies and metrics.
The team’s competency spans several different proficiencies including:

· Client Data Quality Assurance
· Workflow Process Creation and Maintenance
· Client Data Integration
· Customer Master Maintenance
· Vendor Master Maintenance
· Financial Master Maintenance
USI supporting GFS aims to provide a fully-managed shared service that:
· Drives standardization of select, skilled-based processes that are common across business functions and member firms
· Leverages a single technology platform
· Acts in support of member firm Business Finance teams so that they may, in turn, focus primarily on internal clients and value-add activities
· Implements leading practices and drives continuous improvement
· Delivers to agreed Service Level Expectations (SLEs)
Educational Qualifications and requirements:
· MBA Finance graduate with minimum of 2-3 years of relevant secondary research experience, Accounts Payable, Vendor maintenance, Records to report work experience preferably in a professional services firm
· Possess working experience with databases like D&B, Hoovers, SEC filings, OneSource
· Working knowledge of Excel
· Proficiency in data entry and management
· Should be proactive and possess good oral and written communication skills
· Have attention to detail and adherence to Engagement deadlines, good understanding of basic accounting and accounts payable principles
· Ability to perform extensive research to reach accurate conclusions with ambiguous data scenarios
· Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team
· Understanding of SAP/HANA S4 (preferred)
Location: Hyderabad
Work timings: 11am to 8pm or 2 PM to 11 PM according to business needs
