Position Summary

Analyst- Master Data Management

     

Work you will do

As an Analyst in USI supporting GFS-MDM team, you will focus on following areas:

·       Application of accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate/timely financial reports & statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

·       Perform financial operational reconciliations including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow analysis

·       Perform monthly account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.

·       Creation and maintenance of Profit Center, Cost Center and Chart of Accounts.

·       Maintenance of financial records (including analysis of revenues & expenses) in compliance with accepted firm policies and procedures

·       Assist in periodic, monthly, quarterly and year end book closure

·       Preparation of journal entries and other general ledger operations

·       Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis

·       Performing daily support activities associated with the member firms

·       Following up on reconciliation open items and clearing them in General Ledgers

·       Work as a team to achieve Service Level Agreement for the process and individual targets, and work towards process improvement activities.

·       Focus on performance to meet expected levels in terms of daily quantity and quality standards of work.

·       Support identification and integration of any new technology like SAP, Blackline, etc. (including the enhancement of platforms for Collections, Finance & Accounting and Billing functions).

·       Working on AO reports and provide analysis on Aged Debt Report, Missing Time report, Head Count Report, Risk analysis, Chargebacks & Adjustments, etc.,

·       Liaising and collaborating with other members of the internal finance team and the Business

  The team:

The Master Data Management team is responsible for the governance of master data on a global level, ensuring

the integrity and consistency of definitions and usage across member firms and GFS processes. Master Data Management team members participate in and guide the on-going qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis of various research initiatives. Team members employ an array of analysis techniques and frameworks to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and consistency of key attributes, taxonomies and metrics.

 

 The team’s competency spans several different proficiencies including:

·       Client Research

·       Client Data Quality Assurance

·       Workflow Process Creation and Maintenance

·       Client Data Integration

·       Vendor Master Data

·       Finance Master Data

USI supporting GFS aims to provide a fully managed shared service that:

·       Drives standardization of select skilled-based processes that are common across business functions and member firms

·       Leverages a single technology platform

·       Acts in support of member firm Business Finance teams so that they may, in turn, focus primarily on internal clients and value-add activities

·       Implements leading practices and drives continuous improvement

·       Delivers to agreed Service Level Expectations (SLEs)

Educational Qualifications:

·       B.Com /MBA

Experience Required:

·       2-3 years of relevant finance and accounting experience

·       Understanding of Indian (IGAAP) and International Accounting Principles (IFRS)

·       Good knowledge on the Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel and MS word

·       Knowledge of general accounting procedures is required

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills

·       Strong understanding of core finance business processes

·       Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team

Location: Hyderabad

Work timings: 2 PM to 11 PM, can change according to business needs
