Analyst—Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited (Conflicts Management)

The team “Quality and Risk” helps you find information about identifying, mitigating and responding to risk. To maintain Independence and to act with integrity and objectivity, including being free of any conflicts of interest. Maintaining the Independence of the Deloitte entities and its professionals, and proactively identifying and managing potential conflicts of interest as part of the client / engagement acceptance process, the team helps Deloitte, its professionals, and its clients protect, preserve, and enhance their reputations.

Work you will do

Conflicts: (Conflicts Management)

  • Understanding and implementing Deloitte global policies and guidance relating to Conflicts.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with the firm’s business risk teams and other member firm conflict teams.
  • Search various databases to understand if we have existing client relationships that can give rise to a conflict with a new opportunity.
  • Investigate websites to gather information on corporate affiliations, including parent and subsidiary relationships.
  • Ability to analyze detailed scope of services and Deloitte’s role in the entire engagement.
  • Apply judgment to understand Deloitte Conflict Checking System search matches and to distinguish relevant search matches from those that are irrelevant.
  • Accumulate the search results, analyze and conclude on approving a new Deloitte Conflict Checking System request.
  • Manage and respond to internal queries from partners and managers within the business.
  • Maintain high level of professionalism in communicating directly with AU teams as well as foreign Member Firm contacts.

Key Skills Required:

  • Have an understanding, preferred experience of completing secondary market research and common tools used to determine the search results.
  • Adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment, manage business stakeholders and independently coordinate and deliver commitments.
  • Able to work autonomously, highly self-motivated to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Timely delivery of work with no/minimal errors.
  • Respond to and/or elevate all queries and issues within 24 hours or within any other TAT specified by business
  • To support and complete ad-hoc projects relating to conflict matters on a timely basis
  • Proactive in all the communication-Ability to document and communicate the results of research/reviews in an efficient and effective manner, using language and style suitable for clients, Partners and all levels and positions of Deloitte personnel.
  • Team playing & communications – interacts constructively with team members in order to contribute towards the achievement of common goals. Provides well thought-out, concise and timely oral and written communication.

Work location: Hyderabad

Shift timings: 6.30 AM to 3.30 PM

Finance & Shared Services Australia

The “Finance & Shared Services” team at Hyderabad supports the Deloitte organization in Australia with a wide variety of capabilities like Management and Financial reporting, People & Performance, Finance system support, IT services, Business Intelligence development, Resource Management, Risk and Conflicts Management, and client contract management activities (to name a few).

In addition we have other sub-teams under FSS which provides services related to Independence and Conflicts. Quality and Risk team identifies, mitigates and responds to risk. It provides information on the policies, processes and consultation points that will help ensure quality in all the work that is performed by Australia member firm.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate/Post Graduate with an overall 1 to 3+ years of experience in market/financial research
  • Strong attention to details in researching online company research data bases, such as OneSource, Factiva, SAI Global, and ASIC websites

Preferred

  • Good Excel and other MS office tools usage skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
