Analyst—Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited (Project Controllers – AAQR)

The role of AAQR

Audit & Assurance Quality & Risk (AAQR) provides technical audit support including:

  • Keeping audit practitioners up-to-date with the requirements of Australian Auditing Standards and other professional standards
  • Providing technical assistance on the application of the Deloitte Audit Approach Manual and Deloitte Policy Manual
  • Reporting and Compliance check of audit engagements
  • Development and/or implementation of audit related policies and procedures
  • Managing internal reviews and regulatory inspections
  • Response to/approval of audit related queries and documents  

Work you will do

AAQR - Diagnostics

·       Preparation of reports and analysis of data on a weekly basis to identify anomalies and follow up with the relevant practitioners to resolve.

·       Respond to email enquiries from the practice in relation to the data analysis that has been completed.

·       Understand the reporting requirements of AU stakeholders, create Ad hoc reports and Dashboards for the business leaders.

·       Actively participate in all recurring weekly calls with leadership in Australia and provide quality inputs, which enables them to take business decisions.

·       Ensure that all the process related documents are up-to date.

·       Attend training sessions for technical and personal development as necessary.

Shift timings: 6.30 AM to 3.30 PM

Finance & Shared Services Australia

The “Finance & Shared Services” team at Hyderabad supports the Deloitte organization in Australia with a wide variety of capabilities like management and financial reporting, accounts payable, debtor management, payroll, data quality, finance system support, IT services, Business Intelligence development, client and engagement acceptance, and client contract management activities.

In addition, we have other sub-teams under FSS which provides services related to Assurance & Advisory (A&A). Project Controllers support A&A service line in business units of Financial Services and Assurance & Advisory Quality & Review teams.

Key Skills Required:

·       Advanced MS Excel skills is a must. Proficiency in data validation, v-lookup, h-lookup, pivot tables, concatenate, format functions, logical functions in MS Excel. Ability to analyse large data in Excel and should be able to design new reports in excel. Having VBA and PowerBI functional knowledge is an advantage.

·       Advanced PowerPoint Skills: Strong exposure in preparing PowerPoint presentations, ability to analyse and interpret data in excel into charts in PowerPoint.

·       Keen analytical skills – the individual must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       The individual should be able to do multi-tasking and must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines.

·       Proactive in all communications - Ability to document and communicate the results of reviews in an efficient and effective manner, using language and style suitable for all levels and positions of Deloitte personnel

·       Strong communication skills—both verbal and written and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly with other team members

·       Good telephonic skills as it is required to have weekly calls with various stakeholders. Candidates need to have client centric focus.

·       Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow work programs with a high degree of accuracy

·       Ability to challenge the status quo and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement.

·       Shows initiative and is proactive in seeking resolution of issues and in learning the business of the Assurance & Advisory and Deloitte Australia

Ability to adapt to changing work environment (shows flexibility), work under pressure with sense of urgency, and meet tight deadlines. The individual should be comfortable in working for long hours during the peak period.

Qualifications

Required

·        Graduate/Post Graduate (B.Com, BA, BBA) with Financial Background and strong analytical skills

Preferred

·        Work of experience of upto 1-3 years preferred

·        Excellent Excel skills and strong computer skills

·        Team player with a positive attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
