Job title: ServiceNow CMDB Process manager

In support of our IT Service Management program, we have an opening for a ServiceNow CMDB Process Manager. The ServiceNow CMDB Process Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes within the ServiceNow platform. This role ensures the integrity and accuracy of the CMDB, drives continuous improvement, and aligns CMDB processes with ITIL best practices and organizational goals. The primary objective of the position is to analyze, document requirements and implement Configuration Management solutions within the Service Now platform and is well versed with CSDM Model. The role sits within the IT Service Management team and is tasked with delivering user experiences that delight and inform our many stakeholders globally.

  • ·        Have an understanding of Service Mapping
  • ·        We’re looking for a CMDB expert who’s adept at 3Cs of the CMDB and has an understanding of the Product/Release Management to help us improve the CMDB experience for CMDB users.

Work you’ll do:

This opportunity requires good understanding of CMDB, Service Mapping, CSDM Model, product management workflow and experiential journeys within the ServiceNow platform that enable the individual to deliver a high level of service to meet the expectation from the business.  This role will focus on providing solution on CMDB and experiences within the ServiceNow platform to improve CMDB visibility, usefulness, and overall user experience.  Apart from this, this role also needs an individual to be experienced in leading a team.

  • In this interesting and diverse role, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in implementation and testing across the ServiceNow Platform with a focus on CMDB, IRE, Service Mapping and CSDM.
  • You’ll use or develop skills in coordinating with different product owners/stakeholders to ensure the CMDB process is in alignment with the best practices.
  • As part of a broader IT Service Management team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of other initiatives as a contributor in the areas of ITSM, integrations or development depending on the work available and your areas of interest

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, there are certain qualifications you’ll have to have. And others that would be really, nice.

Required:

·        Minimum 5-7 years in ServiceNow CMDB.

·        Strong understanding of ITIL framework and configuration management principles.

·        Proficiency in ServiceNow platform, including CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.

·        Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·        Solid knowledge of business analysis and its application to Agile and SDLC.

·        Proven ability to interact with customers at all levels within an organization to successfully interpret and understand business needs and asks into technical requirements.

·        Ability to manage a team.

Preferred:

·        Prior experience with professional services environments and or large-scale enterprises

·        ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator and ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – CMDB is preferred

·        Solid experience with ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB.

·        Ability to work effectively, with minimal day-to-day supervision, and contribute significantly to the success of the practice globally.

·        Flexible work style and experience managing defined deadlines and work under tight time constraints.

·        Develop, implement, and manage CMDB processes and policies.

·        Ensure CMDB processes are aligned with ITIL best practices and organizational standards.

·        Monitor and enforce compliance with CMDB processes.

·        Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of CMDB data.

·        Conduct regular audits and data quality checks.

·        Develop and implement data quality improvement initiatives.

·        Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand and address their CMDB needs.

·        Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and define CMDB processes.

·        Collaborate with ServiceNow developers and administrators to implement process enhancements.

·        Develop and deliver training programs for CMDB users/Provide ongoing support and guidance to CMDB users.

·        Create and maintain CMDB process documentation, including user guides and training materials.

·        Develop and maintain CMDB reports and dashboards.

·        Analyze CMDB data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

·        Provide insights and recommendations to IT and business stakeholders.

·        Identify and implement process improvements to enhance CMDB efficiency and effectiveness.

·        Stay current with industry best practices and ServiceNow CMDB capabilities.

Lead initiatives to adopt new CMDB features and functionalities.
