Team and Role: ICN Compliance Review | Manager

Location: Hyderabad, India

Shift timing: 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm IST

Qualification: MBA (preferably Finance) or any PG qualification with relevant experience

Overall relevant experience: 10-13 years

Risk and Brand Protection (R&BP)

Compliance Review:

We are part of the Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) group within R&BP. Our team performs a critical risk-management function for the Deloitte US Firms by evaluating and assessing noncompliance matters related to Deloitte’s Independence and other compliance areas.

Work You’ll do:

  • Lead the Compliance Review team in India by managing team members having responsibility over the operations and day-today activities of the team.
  • Utilize your knowledge and understanding of independence and other Deloitte policies and be able to quickly learn internal guidance and protocols, to be able to function as a subject matter resource for all professionals in the team.
  • Use your knowledge and experience to review noncompliance cases in accordance with firm policies and internal guidance, to ensure fairness and consistency.
  • Draft and issue Reprimand emails for noncompliance violations.
  • Identify, manage, and execute potential enhancements to existing processes to improve productivity, quality, communication, and teamwork.
  • Ensure that all of the team’s Internal Controls are followed by the team and are aligned with ISQM-1 and other firm requirements and standards.
  • Supervise, train, and develop Assistant Managers and Senior Analysts while motivating and providing career coaching and guidance. 
  • Lead and execute special and ad hoc projects that may include the preparation of reports for leadership, due diligence analysis, root cause analysis, reconciliations, and executive summaries.
  • Manage multiple activities and projects of varying complexity simultaneously.
  • Work closely with the Managing Directors and Senior Managers to establish the team’s strategy and to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the success of the team by sharing best practices.
  • Collaborate with different teams within R&BP on various projects.

Key Skills Required:

  • 8-10 years of direct experience leading compliance processes and managing people and teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated by impactful, clear, and concise writing.
  • Sound leadership skills (self-starter, results driven, etc.) with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with time sensitive deliverables.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong complex problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage change and ambiguity.
  • Ability to handle high volume and complexity of cases and prioritize accordingly.
  • Ability to influence others, build strong relationships and networks.
  • Customer service attitude with dedication to quality and demonstrated attention to detail.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion with ability to handle high-level confidential data.
  • High proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.

Preferred:

·       Knowledge of regulatory independence policies (PCAOB/SEC/AICPA).

·       Knowledge of Deloitte Independence and Compliance policies.

·       Project management skills.

·       Prior experience with Tableau.
