Work you will do
You will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects that help organizations manage and mitigate risk, improve operational performance, and maximize enterprise value. In this role, you will build on your foundation to design, implement, and support risk management, provide advisory services and assist in restructuring programs, processes, and frameworks to address the growing challenges and risks our clients face.
You will have the opportunity to work across diverse Operating Portfolios and Industries, housed under Portfolio-wide, Operating Units. Our unique structure enables our professionals to specialize on their skills, while keeping our businesses agile to the current critical needs of our clients and capture developing opportunities in the evolving markets. This role is currently housed across Analytics & Technology and Controls, Compliance & Finance.
You would have an opportunity to gain experience in:
- Providing extensive range of accounting and reporting services
- Execute on data management and analytics engagements to help clients monitor, mitigate, and sustain financial reporting risks
- Providing strategic advisory services to diverse clients with veritable objectives
- Providing valuation services for various classes of liabilities and assets, and various complex securities
- Providing internal control and regulatory compliance services to help clients improve their performance and operating efficiency
- Respond to specific breakdowns in regulatory compliance programs and assist clients design infrastructure needed to address the wide variety of specific regulations and regulatory risks
- Help clients respond to specific breakdowns in their regulatory compliance programs and assist clients to address the wide variety of specific regulations (Basel II and Basel III, Dodd-Frank Act, Investment Advisers Act, Volcker, FBEPS, EPS, CCAR, BCBS 239, etc.) and regulatory risks
- Applying an understanding of Tier 1 Digital Core technologies (e.g., SAP and/or Oracle) and facilitating the use of technology-based tools or methodologies
- Assisting in delivering technology transformations services to clients
- Assist in the design and development of financial market infrastructure, banking and securities operations transformation, and rules and workflow engines
- Exposure to implement software/programs that support the implementation of core Banking & Securities domain like Investment Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, etc.
- Exposure to implement automation-based tools or methodologies to complement the solutions
The Team
Deloitte Advisory’s Financial Risk Advisory team is comprised of professionals holding Masters in Business
Administration (specialization finance), Chartered Financial Analysts (‘CFA’) certification, Financial Risk
Management (‘FRM’) certification, Chartered Accountants (‘CA’) certification, Certified Public Accountancy (‘CPA’) certification etc. focused on helping the client with Finance & Accounting functions. Our team members work collaboratively and apply their specialized knowledge and experience to help clients navigate through complex issues.
Qualifications
Required:
- MBA (specialization – Finance)
- 0-36 months of previous, full time work experience
Preferred:
- Professional certification such as CFA, FRM, CPA, CA, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
- Business mindset to understand the rationale behind the transactions
- Ability and willingness to dive deeper into industry issues and bring greater insights for our clients
- Knowledge of accounting standards and financial management concepts
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Technical Skills: Visual Basic, MATLAB, Bloomberg, and Capital IQ
- Proficiency in Primavera and MS Project would be an added advantage.
