Business Valuation – Intern

The Business Valuation team, part of Deloitte Advisory, performs valuation of business entities, intellectual property, common and preferred stock, partnership interests, private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other derivative instruments. As a professional in this team, you will aid clients with mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; tax planning, and compliance; financial reporting; litigation and dispute resolution; and strategic planning; and portfolio valuations and addressing shareholder value optimization. 

Work you will do

•        Provide financial consulting services relating to business valuation. Assist in the valuation of intangible assets for regulatory, financial, and tax purposes as a result of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or financial restructuring

•        Create/assist in creating financial models, analyzing financial statements, conducting industry research, and writing reports

•        Deliver high-quality valuation work products and assist other team members in Deloitte India (Offices of the US), when required

•        Interact with clients, internal stakeholders and US counterparts

•        Assist on client development and practice development assignments

•        May need to work on other Deloitte Advisory engagements

The team

At Deloitte Advisory, our Business Valuation team provides a focused set of valuation consulting services to clients across a range of industry segments. Specific areas of focus include business and intangible asset valuation. Our wholly owned subsidiary employs professionals who work closely with our US professionals to respond quickly and efficiently to the complex and diverse needs of our clients. We perform valuations of business entities, intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock, and other securities along with partnership interests. These services are provided to assist clients with mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; taxation planning and compliance; financial reporting in accordance with ‘US GAAP’ or ‘IFRS’ accounting standards; and strategic planning. Qualifications and Experience Required:  

•        Pursuing MBA in Finance

Preferred:

•        CFA Level I cleared
