Global Cyber Security Team  - Analyst

Analyst, Global Cybersecurity (Global Cyber Defense)

As a member of the Cyber Defense Services, you will be at the heart of fulfilling the teams’ mission by bringing your Security operations experience to the table to own and help drive its overall objectives of enhancing data protection, standardizing and securing critical infrastructure and gaining cyber visibility through security operations centers. The Cybersecurity organization delivers a comprehensive set of cybersecurity services to Deloitte member firms through regional delivery hubs and a Global Fusion Center.

 

 

Work you’ll do

  • Monitoring security events from multiple sources, analyze the results and escalate when necessary to the appropriate group for remediation.  The events will originate from various solutions, but are not limited to DLP, IDS, IPS, EDR, Firewalls and System security logs using ArcSight and Splunk SIEM
  • Identify and respond to cyber security incidents, perform analysis on the event data and validate security breaches. Involves communicating with team members and making sound recommendations on mitigation and prevention techniques
  • Identify security exposures that current & emerging, which might be possible potential threat(s) to Deloitte’s infrastructure, data or any of its assets. Understanding of the risk mitigating strategies. 
  • Analysis on Malwares, Phishing attacks, Spoofing events, DoS-DDoS events, SQL Injections events, and Ransomware incidents
  • Follow Security blogs, articles, and reports regularly which provides an understanding about the External threat landscape which in turn helps to predict, detect, and respond to the latest security risks, threats, and technology trends with relevance to Deloitte and its Member Firms
  • Perform analysis on the suspicious events/incidents and machines using various security solutions, investigation tools and techniques (which might include performing network and malware analysis).
  • Reconcile and work in collaboration with other cyber teams for identifying, resolving security incidents and follow escalation wherever essential
  • Creating and publishing dashboards/metrics that will be monitored for security risk
  • Understanding of Security policies and exceptions for various Endpoint Security Technologies which can include (Advanced Threat Protection, Web Protection etc.) 
  • Organize Network-based and web-based scans to identify possible network/application Security Attacks
  • Identify vulnerabilities in workstations, servers, and other network hosts 
  • Should be well versed with OWASP Top 10 and other web related vulnerabilities.
  • Compilation and Tracking of Vulnerabilities and Mitigation results to quantify Vulnerability Management Program effectiveness

Qualifications and experience 

Required: 

  • Educational Qualification: M.E/M.Tech/MCA/B. E/B. Tech (IT/ Computer Science – preferable with Cyber Security/equivalent Cyber security courses) (60% or 6.5 GPA and above throughout without any running backlogs) 
  • BS or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering with Cyber Security/equivalent Cyber security courses
  • Knowledge on Information security Fundamentals, System – Network Security concepts, Email and Web Application security basics 
  • Good to have an awareness on current and emerging technologies and security threats
  • Good to have knowledge on SIEM/Security tools (Splunk/ArcSight/others)
  • Having knowledge on Incident Management, Vulnerability management, Security Intelligence, Pentest Concepts would be a plus
  • Familiar with Programming/Scripting/Automation would be a plus
  • Analytical mindset, problem-solving aptitude, and logical skills
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all teams required to support your role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and curious to learn
  • Strong proficiency in communication skills
  • Good to have Industry Certifications – CEH/Security+
  • Good to have knowledge on ArcSight/Splunk or other industry-relevant cyber-security certifications would be a highly added advantage
  • Good to have knowledge on OSINT query and techniques 

 

Other:

  • This role will also be responsible for supporting 24x7 operations thus requires weekend shifts on a rotational basis to support the requirements of the organization

 

Location: Hyderabad only

Work Time: 5:30 am – 2:30 pm11am - 8pm, 2pm -11pm, 6pm -3am.
