USI Audit & Assurance - Engagement Service Centres (ESC) -Analyst
About The Team
Engagement Service Centres (ESCs) is a shared services group that provides dedicated administrative support to the Audit function. The group serve as hubs of highly skilled, dedicated resources that are available to support engagement teams and perform work in a variety of audit areas. Some of the services provided from this group includes, Engagement Letter ESC (ELESC), Client Acceptance ESC (CAESC), Independence Support ESC (ISESC) etc. Activities performed by ESC group though non-audit in nature but are essential for completion of audit.
Work you’ll do
As an Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting audit team with various administrative tasks performed by the ESC group which includes and is not limited to engagement letter drafting, monitoring compliance of audit clients with SEC independence regulatory rules and Deloitte independence policies, client acceptance & continuation activities, group-audit co-ordination activities, audit tool-based support etc.
Responsibilities
As a part of this team, you will be involved with:
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables, with the ability to understand implications of findings, next steps, and project deadlines.
- Follow the agreed process in the development of deliverables and adopt a structured approach.
- Provide regular updates to team lead about the progress of assigned task.
- Communicate independently with stakeholders to perform assigned areas of work using a robust vocabulary that demonstrates understanding of the areas of work.
- Ensure the executed work meets the Firm's quality standards.
- Should learn and comprehend the guidelines of Deloitte Independence, SEC Independence, PCAOB & AICPA Independence, and various tools/templates utilized by ESC’s.
Skill required
- Should be proficient in use of Microsoft Office products especially Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, along with good interpersonal skills.
- Should possess good interpretation skills - to read, understand and apply rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Educational qualification
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, 2 years of experience
