USI Audit & Assurance – ESG – Manager

Work you’ll do

ARA Sustainability provides advisory and assurance services for clients on a broad range of aspects for clients who plan to or are already disclosing against established sustainability reporting standards or frameworks such as the GHG Protocol, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate- Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and CDP. Our team includes specialists who bring industry-specific sustainability perspectives and have deep understanding of evolving ESG trends and market forces, why certain sustainability metrics are important from both a financial and risk perspective, and experience in advising companies as they establish and improve internal processes for collecting, analyzing, measuring, and reporting

Responsibilities

As ARA Sustainability professional; you will gather, analyze and distribute information regarding developments in sustainability to our clients and our practice. Other responsibilities would include, you will:

• Lead the delivery of projects for clients with a focus on:

o Performing research, stakeholder engagement, and analysis as part of materiality assessments and ESG risk and opportunity analyses

o Performing sustainability-related assurance procedures such as evaluating and testing processes and related controls

o Support corporate reporting in line with recognized ESG standards and frameworks such as GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB and CDP

• Primarily be involved in performing ESG services

• Participate in meetings and assist in preparation of reports

• Continually develop technical and professional skills through continuous learning programs and guide the team

• Demonstrate the ability to manage a team as well as help them develop technically and professionally

• Communicate effectively with clients and US Deloitte Team members

• Support organization and function initiatives

The Team

The ARA Sustainability team is composed of professionals that possess competency and experience in reporting sustainability and KPI services as well as ESG readiness and integrated reporting and assurance services, including related governance and controls. The professionals use these skills to assess, analyze, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of ESG reporting.

Skills required

• In-depth understanding of ESG principles, trends, and best practices.

• Awareness of environmental issues, social concerns, and corporate governance standards.

• Knowledge of relevant ESG regulations and standards. Ability to stay updated on changes in ESG-related legislation and compliance requirements.

• Understanding and exposure to global regulatory landscape related to ESG, including SEC and ESRS requirements.

• ESG Benchmarking and Analysis:

o Conduct comprehensive ESG benchmarking, business intelligence, roadmap preparation for ESG and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and alignment with global sustainability goals.

o Knowledge in ESG reporting standards such as Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Global Reporting Initiative (GRI),TCFD,TNFD,SBTi etc

o Proficiency in analysing and interpreting ESG data and metrics.

o Ability to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to ESG goals.

o Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access), with particularly strong experience in Excel

o Familiarity with ESG-related software and data management platforms."

o Experience in conducting materiality assessments to identify and prioritize key ESG issues for the organization and the ability to focus efforts on areas that have a significant impact on stakeholders and business performance.

• Strategy Development:

o Develop and implement a cohesive ESG strategy that incorporates net-zero targets, energy efficiency, sustainable supply chain management, and biodiversity conservation.

• Sustainable Finance:

• Apply knowledge of global sustainable finance frameworks to secure funding and investment for sustainability projects.

Educational qualification

• Masters in Sustainability, Master of Environmental Management, or MBA with a focus on sustainability

Certification

• Degrees in environmental studies, environmental sciences,business administration/finance can be relevant for ESG

Experience

• 5 to 6 years of industrial/conulsting experience in a fast paced environment performing ESG analysis, reporting, benchmarking, strategy building and/or advisory work with ESG reporting standards, frameworks etc. Consulting experience/exposure with international clients preferred.

• Relevant certifications such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), FSA, ESG Analyst Certification by CFA Institute or other relevant ESG certification
